Right now there are 3 republicans that could be president: Rubio, Vance and DeSantis.
I know DeSantis does not want to be VP, but he could be Secretary of State if he cannot pull out the nomination. He is the best Gov of FL ever without a doubt.
Rubio is a stateman and very even tempered. I think he is the best Sec of State since James Baker. He would make a fine president or VP.
I think Vance is the smartest of the three, but he is a bit young. He is very cerebral without being a DB. He will be president one day if he wants to run.
