Most insurance is. Probably take a big fight to get that to payout. Including a lawyer to sue or threaten thereof.
Wasn't always that way, though. Once upon a time, we were a moral people in a government of laws. We shared an understanding of right and wrong, and the laws reflected that, and generally were applied evenly. There were exceptions, of course; but the general intent was equality before the law.
Then, we stripped any religious structure out of public, and in many cases, family, life. Why is that important? No matter your belief, the Judeo-Christian norms that elevated Europe and the West, post-Rome, teaches individuals that no matter how much higher you are than your fellows, all are equal before the Divine.
That is an important lesson, as we're seeing. The era of Secular-Humanism and Situational Ethics, are bringing us such lovely humanitarians as Anthony Fauci, Victoria Nuland, Hillary Rodham, and Yuval Harari. You will own nothing - and like it. WE will hack YOUR genome, and Transhumanize you.
Because we can and you cannot stop us.
To the insurance situation, we're seeing the sudden evacuation of all moral scruples in the last five years or so. Homeowners' insurance policies, suddenly have found it's cheaper to bribe state regulators than to pay out. Reports are, out of Florida, close to half of all claims are not paid in full according to policy.
Auto insurance rates have doubled. Yes, there's a sudden explosion of Driving While Brain-Fogged, and Keystone-Kops accidents are off the scale. But payment has suddenly been slowed down. My own claim, as the innocent party, two years ago...took three months to pay out on the physical property claim, nine months to pay the deductible, recovered from the other party's insurance...and I had tort lawyers refuse to take my case because the other party's insurance was paid close to policy limits.
The last time I took a mail shipment of rounds, was about 2008, and had no issues. But nobody seemed to be having problems with insured mail, back then, either.
It's good to post this, that others may learn. In this wild world, it might be better to take a long drive, if you live out in the hinterland, than to rely on insured shipments by New Age shippers like FuddHexx.
