How high in $USD can it possibly go before "most" simply can't afford to buy it ? Like it or not the small time buyer is an important god customer. We must be because they spend an awful lot of cash trying to sell to us. I have 30 new E-mails a day from bullion houses and I'm as small as they come.

So there has to be a limit right ? Or is it 1931 Germany again ?

What you're asking, really, is: How low can $USD go?

How about confetti-worthless? How about, there's no measurement against gold, because the dollar has no value?

Before that comes to be...we keep hearing unimaginable predictions of $25,000 or higher. IMHO, before that happens...people holding dollars will realize something went REALLY, REALLY wrong...and like lemmings over the cliff, will stampede to get rid of them. The first few will succeed, maybe.

That's when the dollar implodes, losing all perceived value on the street.

Emails cost nothing. A simple bot can do it, off a list curated by other scavaging tools that mine data. A mining program to get active emails, then a bot to offer you DEALS OF THE CENTURY - and then, if one in a thousand buys, the vig for a dozen customers probably pays what he paid for the bot program.

Remember he can share the cost of THAT with other retailers.

There's a fair amount of exploitation in the industry, too. We've all heard the stories of elderly people sold "numismatic collectible" coins and bars, that are 4x, 10x, the price of the value of metal therein.

I found a reputable local dealer - nice shop, no-nonsense. He doesn't hard-sell. He's just there. You want gold, here's the price. You have some to sell, here's what I buy it for.

But of course I'm in Montana. There are at least five other retailers in town, one on the far corner to his corner store.

Going to $4200ish before a pullback, then onto $5k in 2027.

I told myself I am done buying @ $3750, but am looking for $3200s to add.

Yeah I wish I had 1/2 the cash I spent on whiskey and 'hos. I had some epic runs in my life and then stunned all who knew me when I quit drinking 30+ years ago. I remember one caper when I was in a bar near El Paso TX drinking stupid juice and the next thing I remember is being butt naked in the back of a Chevy Camaro with a equally naked 350 lb female beast lying on top of me in the middle of the Texas prairie.

To this day I have no memory of even meeting her let along banging her in the back of her little 2 door.

And the thing is in the 1970's decade that wouldn't even get you an Honorable Mention. Certainly not in El Paso TX.

I'm no stranger to gin mills...or I wasn't, thirty-plus years ago.

But I found something interesting about myself. Most men don't share it.

When I get a nice buzz going...last thing I want, is to have to deal with some whiny bee-itch. Having to watch what I say, how I say it, how drunk she is or is not, or whether she's either gonna roll me or leave me with blue orbs.

No...the other guys can go play that fantasy; work up to it and then once she's agreed, find out you're REALLY too nuked to do anything. I'll just sit there, watch the beer bubbles, wax eloquent on my philosophies.

Yeah, I was a different kind of drunk. The difference that mattered is, I always held the bottle - it never held me. And when it was time to put it down, I did so.
