Haiti declares state of emergency after mass prison escape​

Haiti’s government declared a state of emergency on Sunday after thousands of inmates apparently escaped from its largest prison during a surge of gang violence that has upended the Caribbean nation for months.

The government cited the “deterioration of security,” notably in the capital Port-au-Prince, and “increasingly violent criminal acts perpetrated by armed gangs,” including kidnappings and killings of citizens, violence against women and children and looting, according to a statement from Finance Minister Patrick Boivert, who is serving as acting prime minister.

Haiti, a Caribbean country, has plunged into chaos due to gang warfare. The US has airlifted non-essential staff from its embassy and the country has declared a state of emergency.

This comes after gangs attacked airports, police stations and prisons. Thousands of jail inmates have fled too.

Jimmy Cherizier, popular as 'Barbecue', is the leader of the notorious 'G9 and Family' gang and is now the most powerful man in Haiti, reports the New York Post.

It is said that Cherizier began being called 'Barbecue' because of his penchant of burning people alive.

Amid the rise of 'Barbecue', a video has emerged that shows a member of a 'cannibal' gang eating human body parts.

Haiti has an average IQ of 67. Let's talk about what that means:

- With an IQ of 67 or below, the average Haitian -- over half the country -- would be considered too disabled to be eligible for the death penalty. Someone at this level will struggle to understand the cause-and-effect of basic things, as well as to participate in American society at all. Even filling out forms will be hard.

- At 1 standard deviation (SD) up from 67, we have an IQ of 82. Around 1 in 6 Haitians are intelligent enough to be a below average janitor. This is the level of intelligence of poor urban areas in America.

- At 2 SD, we're at 97, or roughly average intelligence in America. Around 2% of Haitians will be as intelligent as your average high school classmate and could be clerical workers or cooks.

- At 3 SD, we're at 112. This is approaching the territory where useful creative and STEM work can be done (e.g. engineering). This is about 1 out of 1000 Haitians.

- At 4 SD, we're at 127. These are the people who will come across as bright in your interactions with them, but still wouldn't be "gifted". They can perform almost all high status professions. There are only 440 Haitians in the entire country that are this intelligent, out of a population of 11 million.

- At 5 SD, we're at 142. We're in gifted and potentially genius territory. These are people who can invent, create, and contribute at the highest level. There are approximately 3 of them in the entire country of Haiti.

I work with 2 very intelligent Haitians light and dark skinned plus many others that are not too bright.

I see lots of them in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. They are mostly drivers for passenger vehicles like buses and taxis.

I wonder how much inbreeding goes on in a nation so smart that it cuts down all it's forest...?

In a real democracy we would have a say in wether or not we want to support them , either financially or by bringing them here.
With todays technology that should be an easy thing for us to vote on as a nation. Go state by state even and any states that want them can have them.

Okay, the guy from Haiti says he wants to get a job. What does he offer? Does he have trade skills? Can he frame walls, set and screw drywall, tape, texture, and paint? Can he wire a house to code?

Does he have skills in manufacturing, designing, or test procedures? Can he lay out a circuit board with minimal EMC that might pass?

I have done everything listed above, and more. I don't expect an immigrant to write Linux device drivers.

Can he get a commercial truck license and safely drive cargo across the country? Can he turn pistons on a lathe or true up parts on a milling machine?

Okay, let's get super simple. Can he start and run a business buying and selling things? There is no technical knowledge needed, just the basics of pricing and customer service. It seems to me that MANY ! immigrants have made their security this way.
 
The Haitians I knew were mason/carpenter types, not fine work just basic construction.

By this statement to the court it looks like the Kamala Harris isn’t done yet, more Haiti immigrants are on the way
 
Looks like Eric Swalwell may have reached a breaking point. Seems like he is under the impression that Jim Jordan may be insane. Apparently, Jordan's posting of Trump with a duck and a kitty has led him to question Jordan's sanity.

I believe MSNBC has sent a team to investigate if there are, in fact, evil Haitians stealing people's pets and eating them in Ohio.

We need answers. Is Jim Jordan insane? Are Haitians actually eating people's pets?

 
When I visited St. Martin, I saw a lot of barbed wire, razor wire, spiked pipes, and really spiked fences, if that our future? Both sides of the island by the way.
