Hasn't had a Heating Bill for 40 years

Tom hasn't had a heating bill for 40 years. with a combination of solar water heating and a DIY wood boiler for his Hydronic radiant floors that he installed 18 years ago. He shows us his complete system that heats his home and shop. 13 mins long.

Very cool. Love seeing how people get creative with these things. I prefer hotter climates and have been considering some sort of solar water (floor) heating systems for my pie in the sky (never likely to be built) earth sheltered dream house for years.

Always a good idea to look into, I just moved to Florida though...Heat pump with A.C..

Fatrat, what town do ypu live in? I turned my heat on for a total of 10 nights on the last 5 years on the Treasure Coast.

Up near the Villages, central and north of Orlando, heat on 10 or 12 times a year.

In Wildwood? I work there once a month, but actually send my stepson.
