...i can send all you want(im closer so shipping will be cheaper)...... 96deg 70%plus humidity....and im in middle not south...........on the plus side got to work out in it the last few days putting up some square bale hay....can toss in some of this sahara desert dust and huge pollen we are getting too right now (accu weather air quality index has moved up to poor from unsafe )....but on the plus side all this weather combo has supercharged the mosquito,chigger n tick populations...and poision ivy is growing like its on miracle grow......if you can get to them we do have a good bloom of edible mushrooms right now....the nice 10mph wind we have had the last few days has laid today so air is still.....

The hot nights are getting more dangerous as Philly’s rowhouses become 'brick ovens'​

Philadelphia almost certainly will set more temperature records over the next two days — but maybe not during the steam-bath afternoons.

Nature’s natural cooling system, nightfall, will have a hard time getting it done with the atmosphere so swollen with water vapor, and forecasters warn that low temperatures the next two nights may stay above 80 degrees, even if the Saturday night storm threat materializes.

That would result in record-high minimum temperatures for the dates in Philadelphia. That record bar is considerably lower than for the high-temperature records — 104 degrees for Friday, and 103 for Saturday — set during the sizzling 1966 Independence week.

Thursday’s high, 103, tied the record set in 1901, when the nation was a mere 125 years old.

Heat index was 108 degrees yesterday. Today's forecast high is supposed to hit 102 actual temperature. Got a little shop time in but the heat was too much for my little window unit to handle so I gave up and spent the rest of the day in the cement pond. Too hot to mow any fields. Too hot to really do much of anything. I'll probably grab a good book and spend the day in the pool again today.
 
Had a lot of rain in my area last night and part of today. Finally the temp is starting to drop. Expecting more rain an possibly heavy winds tonight.

Idiots trying to drive through it.

NOTHING is that important. Look on the Tube of Ewww....see all the fools in previous storms, who had their car flood and stall, and sometimes wash down the street or wherever the runoff is rushing to.

Even a medical emergency, unless you really know what you're doing or have someone along who does, you're better off getting into the 911 queue.
 

Downpours set off flood alerts and road closings — but now the Philly region could use some more rain​

The waterfall downpours came just as the sun-cooked vegetation was showing those hay-brownish tints and taking on that desperate we-need-a-drink-now look.

“You have to be careful what you wish for in the summer,” said Scott Kleebauer, branch forecaster at the national Weather Prediction Center in College Park, Md.

But sometimes too much is not enough.

While downpours flooded streets and caused Regional Rail problems for SEPTA, which also reported weather-relates signal problems, Kleebauer suggested it wouldn’t hurt for Philadelphia and other parts of the Mid-Atlantic to place an order for more rain.

We had our first frost Tuesday, the 1st of September. Fresh snow coming down the mountain on the 31st, then it cleared up and frosted. Warmed up 15 degrees since. Should be good for helping the moose move around

It's looking like a typical fall day in the Five Valleys region of M-T - rain and cool.

I'm out of town. A pleasure trip that was to test my new camping getup...the trip has gone okay; my body has gone. Got a Bass Pro Shops folding cot in the back - and just to LAY on it, it's comfortable. But finding room to work out incipient leg cramps, not doable. Getting up off it, is difficult enough to be frightful.

Meantime, my prized cowboy hat (had it two years, wear it out in the rain, but I'm not out in weather that often) it blew off my head on a hike in a park here in Utah. Down a hundred feet off an embankment. This in an area with NO trees...they have warnings, WEAR A HAT - THERE IS NO SHADE. The hike had to be cut short.

The trip, too. I was gonna go to the Four Corners of Colorado, just for the good memories of days long dead...but the price of petrol is launching. And Trump is starting moar-aggressive war...gee, shouldn't this two-week thingy be over, yet?

It's looking like my ramming the roads for pleasure, sure is. Can't afford it and can't tolerate the resultant pain. Nor the absentmindedness...I musta spent two hours looking for items, or forgetting them when going to the bathhouse, or forgetting my canteen leaks (all over my pill tray, ruined a day's supply of supplements.

Winter is here. Winter in North America, and the winter of one commentator's life.
 
Just give me the whole supplement list, I'm 69 soon...

....I take ... #1 is D and magnusium, b complex....rest alternate daily....fish oil...zinc...C....if you have heart,circulation problems....consider coq10, niacin, l-arginine.......if you have bronchial breathing problems coughs allergies consider NAC.....prostrate problems saw palmetto....and so on....I guess it's all about what issues you are having and customize nothing cures our age

I do.

It's been an ongoing issue for years...since I started with the magnesium, it's lesser, but it happens.

Mostly it's when I'm crouched down in an unnatural position - like crawling under the desk to fix loose computer cables. I don't normally notice it more than once a month or so.

But in the back of that van, I can't stand up. PLUS...Old-geezer bladder. You know the drill. Fluids must be drained at midpoint every night.

That meant, getting up, on my knees, and using the bottle dedicated to the purpose. Nasty? Maybe. It does the job.

But my legs, both of them, would cramp up furiously.

Why not go out? First, I had some other group camping nearby. With a dog. Who was a good watchdog.

Second, it entails putting on shoes, etc. So much easier to use the pickle jar.

If I didn't have these infernal leg cramps...
 
Aborted the trip...not a disaster; it was experimental.

Now I know what to expect if I should try something longer. Which, now, I may not do.

Some things, just aren't to be. It is what it is...

As to the weather: Fall rains have come to town. I'm back home to witness it...we're getting the rain that signifies the seasonal shift.

Hamilton, to my south, was getting bathtub-loads. Storm let loose just as I was clearing it...watching that purple sky, and then the dark shapeless color that indicates heavy rain, swallow up the mountains in the distance, south of me...JUST AFTER I crossed the Divide...that was like something outta Stephen King.
 
I don't know what to tell ya, man.

I grew up on the (overcast, humid) shore of Lake Erie (variously, Ohio and New York, same weather) and stayed because I didn't know any better. The Navy (I went in ten years later than most recruits, after the ex drop-kicked me out) showed me, definitively, there was a whole 'nuther world out there. And it was with hesitation I came back for 12 years when a job offer, with Conrail, doubled my pay. And let me tend to family issues, aging parents...

But once that was done - the job, which was made a living hell by corporate mergers and DEI-Woke management; and parental units going the way of all flesh - I beat feet the hell out.

Not everyone can and not everyone wants to. Be it Ohio's shores or the black sky of Seattle. But, there are alternatives.
 
Fall hits the Bitterroots.

The first trees have gone the subdued yellow-brown that is the norm here.

Waiting for evidence that mice have moved into my modern Conestoga, the minivan-van-life camper that I have in storage...now that fuel availability is up in question, everywhere.

But it is what it is. Meantime, fire reports are being replaced by flash-flood alerts...rain in the mountains, tonight. Maybe here.
