This wont be over in 4 weeks. There's no need in pretending it is a thing. Just another long drawn out war. My nephew heads out on the 20th and wont get there for 2-3 weeks from then.

All this is enough for me. Were not going to overthrow a tyranny with air power alone but I'd bet they will stop making us look like fools. That era will end. It also appears Iran has really weakened their hand and made nothing but enemies in the region and China has seen just how vulnerable they are.

Im sorry. I meant Libya "wasn't" the existential threat Iran is and has been. Qaddafi had been playing ball with the west and his only "crime" was that he was trying to get the North African Oil producing nations to adopt a policy of cash and carry for their "sweet" crude, the highest grade oil in the world. Which is, when you think about it, is their right. Its their oil so its their right as to how they wanted payment for it.

But Europe didn't like it. Most of all Italy, France, and Germany. So they talked Obama into firing off all those Tomahawk missiles, decapitating Libya's air defense network, which allowed the Euro countries to bomb Libya with impunity which took Qaddafi off the board. Eventually getting him overthrown and torn apart like last Sat.'s chicken dinner and a "friendlier" bunch of tyrants put in place.

Or....that was their plan. What happened in reality was Arab tribalism taking over and they all started killing each other, again, and North Africa went to hell because Obama just couldn't say "no" to these Euro shits and instead tried to justify the military Op by some BS that they were trying to protect civilians. In reality we bombed Libya over oil, no UN resolution, no asking Congress, no nothing. NATO just decided to bomb the guy out over oil.

For the benefit of the historically impaired and geopolitically ignorant, I have decided to compile a list of every act of war Iran has perpetrated against the United States of America between 1979 and Election Day 2016.

Not included in this list:

- Anything since Trump won his first election
- Any attacks against either Israeli, Arab, or European allies
- Any attacks against International Shipping
- Iran's persistent threat to the global economic system (read as: America's Empire)
- Iran's persistent seeking of a nuclear weapon
- Iran's religious conviction in the destruction of the United States
- A specific breakdown of attacks against U.S. Forces in Iraq (those have been consolidated into only two)
- Any classified information, from which I can only vouch for the fact this list could be thousands of entries long

The List:

- Nov 1979–Jan 1981, Tehran: US Embassy seized; 52 Americans held 444 days.

- Apr 18, 1983, Beirut: Embassy truck bombing; 17 Americans killed.

- Oct 23, 1983, Beirut: Marine barracks truck bombing; 241 US troops killed.

- Sep 20, 1984, Beirut: Embassy annex bombing; 2 Americans killed.

- 1982–1992, Lebanon: Hezbollah kidnappings/murders of US citizens.

- 1987–1988, Persian Gulf: Attacks on US-flagged tankers + mining waters.

- Jun 25, 1996, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia: Khobar Towers truck bombing; 19 US killed.

- Late 2001, Afghanistan: IRGC hosted Taliban envoys; offered weapons, intelligence on US movements, border access.

- 2005–2011, Iraq (Baghdad, Basra, Diyala provinces etc.): IRGC Qods Force supplied EFPs to Shia militias; 1,526 attacks killed 196 US troops, wounded 861 (peaked 60–200/month 2007–08).

- 2003–2011, Iraq (same provinces): IRGC-backed militias indirect fire (rockets/mortars), IEDs + assaults on US bases/forces; total 603+ US deaths.

- 2006–2016, Afghanistan (Kandahar, Herat, Nimruz etc.): IRGC Qods Force shipped arms/training/funding to Taliban; leaders sheltered; multiple shipments intercepted (2007+, 2011 Nimruz, 2012 Kandahar); 2010 US Treasury sanctions on IRGC-QF.

- Jan 20, 2007, Karbala, Iraq: Qods-backed militia assault on US center; 5 soldiers killed.

- Oct 2011, Washington DC: IRGC Qods Force plot (foiled) to bomb restaurant + assassinate Saudi ambassador.

- 2011–mid-2013, nationwide: Operation Ababil (IRGC-affiliated hackers) – DDoS on 46 banks; tens of millions USD remediation costs.

- Aug–Sep 2013, Rye, New York: IRGC hacker accessed Bowman Avenue Dam SCADA systems.

- Feb 2014, Las Vegas, Nevada: Iranian destructive malware wiped Las Vegas Sands Corp servers; $40 million damage.

- Jan 12, 2016, Farsi Island, Persian Gulf: IRGC Navy seized 2 US Navy riverine boats; detained 10 sailors ~16 hours.

- Oct 9–15, 2016, Red Sea off Yemen: Iran-enabled Houthi cruise missile attacks on USS Mason.

U.S. Financial Aid to Afghanistan​

Overview of Aid Distribution​

The U.S. government has been sending significant financial aid to Afghanistan since the Taliban took control in August 2021. This aid is intended to support humanitarian efforts and stabilize the economy. However, the process has raised concerns about the funds indirectly benefiting the Taliban.

Cash Transfers to Afghanistan​

  • Amount: Approximately $40 million is sent weekly, totaling around $160 million monthly.
  • Method: The cash is flown into Afghanistan and deposited into a private Afghan bank. From there, it is distributed to various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and aid groups.

Taliban's Involvement​

  • Control of Funds: The Taliban controls the Afghan central bank, which complicates the distribution of aid. Reports indicate that some of the cash ends up in the Taliban's hands, either directly or through taxes imposed on NGOs.
  • Auction System: The funds are auctioned off to convert them into local currency, with the winning bids often going to individuals associated with the Taliban or the Haqqani Network, a designated terrorist group.

Legislative Response​

Due to concerns about U.S. taxpayer dollars supporting a terrorist organization, lawmakers have introduced bills aimed at preventing any financial aid from reaching the Taliban. These efforts highlight the ongoing debate about the effectiveness and oversight of U.S. aid to Afghanistan.

Trump met with the Missile manufacturers today to ramp up production. Wants them to quadruple production. Probably a good move as we head into WW3. Not sure how quickly they can do that though. Maybe if we have China make them for us? :lmao:

Opinion: What the Iran war is really about - it's not Israel​

The war in Iran is threatening to split the conservative movement, dividing it between those who see it as Donald Trump’s breaking of a promise against new wars and those who see it as a necessary confrontation long overdue.

Progressives, predictably, frame it as another Middle Eastern adventure driven by Israel. Anti-war libertarians call it regime change in a new dress.

The stuff I've been posting about insurance is basically concerned with the cargo and the vessel.

Well, you need sailors to sail the ship, and I wouldn't sail right now, maybe send US Navy crews aboard.

Trum said never going to war with Iran, now we are at war with Ira. He also said no boots on the ground and has already backtracked on that to a maybe and we will do whatever is needed. Apparently he is willing to kill as many Americans as is needed to help Israel.

Probably not needed, Iran's boots are underground and now they can't get out. 86% drop in outgoing missiles from Iran and dropping.

Marines are on the way over as well as 82nd on notice. Another carrier group is on the way as well as other vessels loading up and getting ready to depart San Diego.

Maybe it is over and Benji just has other plans for our military. Once all of our assets are in theater Israel can give Trump his orders.
