Israel pounds Lebanon with heaviest airstrikes of the war as Hezbollah pauses attacks​

BEIRUT, April 8 (Reuters) - Israel carried out its heaviest strikes on Lebanon since the conflict with Hezbollah broke out last month, even as the Iran-aligned group paused attacks on northern Israel and Israeli troops in Lebanon under a two-week U.S.-Iran ceasefire.

Consecutive explosions shook Beirut, sending smoke billowing across the capital, as Israel's military said it had launched the largest coordinated strike of the war. More than 100 Hezbollah command centres and military sites were targeted in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley and southern Lebanon, it said.

Iran signed a ceasefire last night and broke it before most Americans finished breakfast.

But that’s not the story.

The story is what Trump did while everyone was staring at the missiles.

The sequence: Iran signs ceasefire. Iran releases fake version claiming total victory. CNN runs fake version as real news. Trump calls it fraud. Iran launches missiles at Israel, Kuwait, UAE, and Bahrain.

Ceasefire lasts fewer hours than a domestic flight.

Everyone is asking the wrong question. The question isn’t “why did Iran break the ceasefire.” The answer to that is obvious. Iran has a political wing that wants to negotiate and a military wing that wants to die fighting. The IRGC operates 32 independent regional commands.

The politicians signed the paper. The generals launched the missiles.

Iran is a country negotiating with itself at gunpoint.

Trump already knows this.

This morning he posted that Iran has gone through “a very productive regime change.” He’s not angry about the broken ceasefire. He’s looking past the IRGC and talking directly to the political faction that’s still alive and desperate.

Then, minutes later, he posted a 50 percent tariff on any country supplying weapons to Iran. He didn’t name China. He didn’t have to.

Five Iranian ships left a Chinese port carrying sodium perchlorate, the chemical you need to make the solid rocket fuel inside every missile that just hit Kuwait. China trades $500 billion a year with the US. Russia trades under $500 million. The tariff isn’t about Russia.

So: one hand offers Iran reconstruction money and sanctions relief. The other hand prices China out of the Iranian weapons pipeline. Two posts, two targets, one table.

Meanwhile there’s a conservative commentator somewhere reading the CNN version of Iranian propaganda and telling you Trump surrendered.

The kid doesn't know if her ass is punched or drilled. A typical American college student whose views of the world parrots their professors opinions and they have no worldly experience of their own.

Saddam had chem/bio weapons, in fact he used them several times, both against the Iranians and the Kurds. But he got rid of them when he felt the heat coming around the corner, a fact we had no way of verifying. Regardless Saddam could be trusted about as much as the Iranian Theocracy can. You know someone should tell this child theres a reason the Iranians step on and burn American flags while chanting "death to America".

They are a country of 93 million with a economy the size of Oregon despite being rich in oil and their citizens, most of them, struggle from a per capita GDP of about $4,000 USD, that it takes 1,315,657.15 Iranian Rials to buy 1 $USD, and yet they have found the means to buildhuge underground storage and manufacturing centers for advanced missile production and uranium enrichment all over the country. And they did all this, as well as supporting their IRGC, which is more like the Nazi SS, while the majority of their people live in squalor even worse then under the Shah. Is all this a Lie ?

I didn't bother watching all this video because I dont need children to teach me how the world works. Maybe the kid should use more of her brain power talking about the demographic/crime time bomb the Democrats unleashed on us with 4 years of a wide open border under the Presidency of a total moron who never even knew what was going on. Or how they turned their heads, at best, on the billions scammed by the Somalian "Learing Centers" that turned out to be nothing more then a store front. All of which they "Lied" about.

I don’t think it was directed at us specifically. More to her age group who, again are clueless with their faces glued to their phones and ‘who posted what’ on social media.

The following is the April 6, 2026, Congressional Research Service report, Iran’s Nuclear Program and UN Sanctions Reimposition.

UN Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015), which the council adopted on July 20, 2015, implements the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and contains other provisions concerning Iran’s nuclear program, Tehran’s development of missiles, and arms transfers to and from Iran. In August 2020, the United States invoked the resolution’s “snapback” mechanism, which requires the Security Council to reimpose UN sanctions lifted pursuant to Resolution 2231 and the JCPOA. (See CRS Report R40094, Iran’s Nuclear Program: Tehran’s Compliance with International Obligations, by Paul K. Kerr.) Although that effort failed, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom (UK) (collectively known as the “E3”) invoked the snapback mechanism on August 28, 2025, which resulted in the sanctions’ reimposition on September 27, 2025.

I was in the USAF in S/E Turkey during that time Khomeini and his crew took over. I was there on 21 Nov. 1979 when they over ran our embassy and took those hostages. We were put on standby to "go" as forces flew in for an operation but Carter never sent us and we knew then it was a mistake because with people like this you have to drive a stake threw their hearts like Dracula to beat them. We, as Americans, tend to think the rest of the world is like us because A, we've never been anywhere foreign. B, if we have been anywhere its been like Germany, place a lot like us. Or C, other places but we stayed in highly protected areas of tourism.

But in Martial Law Turkey, especially in the S/E where I was at, I got to see what a militarized and brutal autocracy is really like. And brother, it isn't nothing like here is.

So nothing is going to stop Iran from violating any peace agreements short of a Government collapse which, unlikely, but possible, because they are in such a dire economic condition. And nothing, Nothing ! will stop them from trying to build and test an atomic bomb and they can't be trusted for anything.

So I say send in the bombers and troops and finish this thing finally. Its the only way. Freeing up billions will only get them closer to building the bomb.

How many more terrorists do you want to create? Every time we drop a bomb and kill more people we create more terrorists. 180 school girls killed and every one of their parents want blood now. More killing isn't the answer. All of this is blowback from us interfering in the ME.

How many times has Iran attacked us in the last 47 years? Attacks on US soil? That answer is 0. We dont hear that though. We hear they killed 30k of their own people, oh wait now it's 45k. LOL. I haven't seen any evidence of that but I also never saw evidence of babies being yanked out of incubators in Kuwait. Of course that turned out to be a lie and propaganda.

Let's be honest about what this really is. It's about ensuring the military industrial complex in this country has work for decades to come.

In 1985 I was coming out of the main PX in Frankfurt Germany walking towards a taxi parked on the road. A buddy said hey there's one over here and we turned and walked further into the parking lot away from the road. Less than a minute later a car bomb went off right by where we were walking towards at 1st on the road. Red Army Faction. They wanted the US out of Germany. Same goes for most countries where we have bases. People dont want us there. There are exceptions of course.

These countries need to sort out their own problems. We get involved because there is big money to be made by our US corporations.
