Helium — isn't that the stuff that makes you talk funny?
OMG!! the iranians are stopping it?
Oh No, we'll never talk funny again.

This one's an opinion piece. Take it fwiw, dyodd & make of it what you will.

But can Israel take that ass whipping? By now, Iran must understand the capital of the USA is Tel Aviv and they should bomb the snot out of it...a thousand drones would be a great start from Iraq and Yemen too.

Went to Texas Roadhouse on Thursday 7pm. Packed to the gills and they don't serve much fish. An hour long wait to be seated.

Costco is a zoo on the weekends so we go during the week.

It's a gas...

Helium is primarily used for cryogenics (cooling superconducting magnets in MRI scanners and particle accelerators), which accounts for about 32% of global consumption. Its inertness, low density, and thermal conductivity make it indispensable for semiconductor manufacturing, welding shielding, and leak detection.

Other critical applications include:
  • Space Exploration: Pressurizing and purging liquid rocket fuel tanks.
  • Medical Therapy: Breathing mixtures (heliox) for respiratory conditions like asthma and COPD.
  • Industrial Processes: Creating controlled atmospheres for growing silicon crystals and fiber optics.
  • Diving: Mixing with oxygen to prevent nitrogen narcosis in deep-sea diving.
  • Lifting: Filling balloons and airships as a safe, non-flammable alternative to hydrogen.
