A man accused of cannibalism and murder has been granted conditional release, according to the Connecticut Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB).

The board granted Tyree Smith's release after a careful review of his clinical progress, officials said.

He's currently at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown. Smith is accused of hacking a man to death with an axe in Bridgeport and eating part of the victim's brain and an eyeball.

To answer the question " Is every soul redeemable?" in my opinion no. Especially here.

Is he no longer insane? If not, what cured him?

Conditions for release:

- Everyone who thinks it's ok to release him into society states so publicly on national tv and signs a statement (name, address, phone number and pic) stating they are willing to accept any punishment deemed appropriate should Tyree (aka long pork T) decide to have someone for dinner again.

- The ones who want him released draw straws and the loser has Tyree stay with him and his family for 1 year.
