I'd be ok if parents were held responsible for ANY crimes their children commit prior to turning 18.

It'd be a sure way to make sure that parents actually parent.

After all, how well would YOU keep watch over someone who could get your ass thrown in jail if they were to commit a crime?

I am thinking that you would keep 'em on a pretty short leash.

When my parents had to go out, they used to chain me to the water pipe in the basement.

And I turned out fine. :dontknow:
