Well, we did steal the Venezuela oil...US has lots of money coming in from oil sales, Iran, not so much.

Well, we did steal the Venezuela oil...US has lots of money coming in from oil sales, Iran, not so much.
That was just as wrong.Well, we did steal the Venezuela oil...
No one stole their oil.Well, we did steal the Venezuela oil...
It's not stolen. They get market price for each and every barrel they export. Our gunboats stole that oil...
NopeWell, we did steal the Venezuela oil...
YepIt's not stolen. They get market price for each and every barrel they export.
That oil is heavy, sour crude. Basically, bunker fuel. Ships, some stationary diesel powerplants. If anything, their oil is helping keep your gas prices down, as about half of it is being bought by us.
Yep. The very stuff most Texas refineries were built to use. That oil is heavy, sour crude. Basically, bunker fuel. Ships, some stationary diesel powerplants.
Yes, they can both be used. The two cannot be interchanged in the same plant.
From what I can find, we got $100 million worth of gold after getting Maduro, but we paid for it.Whatever happen to the gold we took from Venezuela? Have we returned that?
I've been told otherwise.Yes, they can both be used.
They are called deep conversion refineries. They can easily switch between the light stuff and the heavy stuff.
Maybe in the past, but now most refineries can refine both sweet and sour crude.I've been told otherwise.
I'm not a petrochemical engineer (that was my father's gig; but he's long gone) but what I've read is, they are NOT convertible; and changing over is so involved, it's cheaper and more practical to set up a new refinery. A new line alongside the other, if you like, IF you can get permitting to so do it.
I don't have an indication as to who's being truthful; but as a general rule, the blase assurances are usually coming from Narrative-crafting outlets, pushing a viewpoint.
Distilling petroleum into various refined products is not a simple process.
We stole and Trump gets paid, nothing new here...Venezuela and it's people are better off without Maduro.
Anyone who doesn't think so, ain't thinkin' about this issue too well.
Yep. The very stuff most Texas refineries were built to use.
....and still can use.
How do you define "stole"?We stole and Trump gets paid, nothing new here...
We stole and Trump gets paid, nothing new here...
Spoke with an 'oil guy' and he informs me that Texas refineries can NOT refine both crudes without major retooling.Yes, they can both be used.
They are called deep conversion refineries. They can easily switch between the light stuff and the heavy stuff.
Actually, we stole first by bribes, then they stole it back, then we stole it again...That's an overly simplistic way of looking at it. American oil companies paid for the majority of the expertise and infrastructure to get those oil wells up and running well. When Venezuela "elected" a socialist government, the socialists "stole" the oil wells and kicked out our American oil companies.
So, technically, they stole it first. We simply took it back.
Socialism only works when there's someone to loot.
Strangely, so does capitalism...Socialism only works when there's someone to loot.
Well he might wanna check into that, as some refineries along the gulf and East coast can in fact do both.Spoke with an 'oil guy' and he informs me that Texas refineries can NOT refine both crudes without major retooling.
Not true.Strangely, so does capitalism...
No, crony capitalism might do that but not actual capitalism.Strangely, so does capitalism...
@CiscoKid will get us back on track soon enough. Lol'scuse me, I wuz lookin for the political jokes thread, it wuz around here somewhereze…
