Look it up. Lower regulation. The only way Sweden is socialist - that is, before the nation was overrun with Africans - the only way, was in various public works and programs. Free health care. Government-run transportation.
It was enabled by its small size; its homogenous population (all White) and its high average IQ. And, of course, its heavy tax burden.
If you want to take a region of 8 million Whites - that is, NYC, with the off-brand-types shipped out - and give it public-owned railroads and government medical care - it would probably work, too.
Socialism fails with the Free Rider problem; and ANY large system has failure points as it grows. Which is why the surviving conglomerates are decentralized (Berkshire Hathaway) and not centrally run (Enron, Stellantis, GE).

In Sweden, someone making around $40k/year pays 60% of it in taxes.
In Sweden, they squeeze the poor.

But that 60% taxes includes Healthcare, education, vacations, paternity leave...stuff we pay for, for israel too have.
In Sweden, the poor are (or used to be) Caucasians.

My own example: I keep hearing how a single person needs to be making about $80k to live a middle-class lifestyle. But here I am, making less than half that, and doing - for the moment - fine.
I'm having steak tonight. I brought the steak home (after paying CASH for it, no "SNAP" for me) in one of my TWO cars. One a van; one a tiny city car. (Scion IQ).
BOTH paid for. Insurance for them, doubled; but even so it's less than $300 a half. Total.
I have $800 in my pocket and another $2000 in the safe. Plus, of course, my stacks.
I expect that's how the "poor" in Sweden lived, too, back when they were all Swedish and not Globalist transplants.

A person in Sweden making the equivalent of US$250,000 will "only" pay 48% in taxes.
Like I said, they soak the poor in Sweden.
In the US, the poor pay very little in taxes, and many pay nothing at all.

American sanctions have nothing to do with it. They wanted communism - they got communism. In all its squalid glory.
Socialism leads to communism - every single time. And communism simply doesn't work due to human nature. There is no reason for anyone to strive for excellence when there is no reward for it.

Neither you nor I have the power to life their sanctions. But I don't need that to know that communism never has worked before and never will work.
Communism aims to make everybody equal. Equally poor and equally miserable. Capitalism has its flaws to be sure. But at least those who strive for excellence have a shot at being rewarded for their effort.
every communist system has been attacked and subverted so we will never know, but the Scandinavians seem to do well.
Because they have a market based economy.
Ie: they practice capitalism.
Capitalism is an economic system that's been proven to lift more people out of poverty than any other.
Biggest problem with it today, is all the "free shit army" of people who have demanded that gov take what the successful people have achieved, and give it them.
So the gov has injected cronyism into our capitalism by putting the thumb of gov on the scales in order to pick winners and losers.
That's what everyone should be bitchin' about, instead of just demanding free shit that they didn't actually earn. Someone else did.
