Russia’s communist leader suggested seizing part of citizens’ bank deposits — now ‘everyone is thinking about how to get their money out’

The Russian Economy “Is An Illusion” Built On Debt: With the current energy crisis already wreaking havoc on Russia’s economy, a banking crisis may soon erupt as a mountain of debt weighs on consumers and businesses due to bad lending practices.

Fortune magazine wrote that the Kremlin urged banks to approve and even encouraged millions of Russians to take out three or more loans simultaneously.

But lenders are now vulnerable amid soaring indebtedness and deteriorating loan quality, while consumers buckle under high inflation.

Factbox: Fuel shortages and sales restrictions across Russia

MOSCOW, July 16 (Reuters) - Russians have felt the pinch of fuel shortages across the country's 11 time zones as Ukrainian attacks on oil refineries disrupt supply, leading to long queues at pump stations, excessive gasoline prices and rationing in several regions.

Some measures, such as clearing a low-quality fuel for use and increasing imports, have led to an improvement in access to fuel, especially in Moscow, while the situation in Russian-annexed Crimea remains tense.

Putin went to Beijing asking for the one pipeline deal Russia desperately needs — Xi received him like an emperor and sent him home

Beijing Is Preparing for Putin’s Death, Engaging with His Potential Successors: The PRC was once highly dependent on Russia for most of what made it a world power. But in 2026, not only does the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) General Secretary Xi Jinping feel no need to ingratiate himself with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he and the other top leaders in Beijing are openly planning for what they will be demanding from Moscow once former KGB Lt. Col. Putin is dead or is deposed – or both.

Some people have slept in cars. Others have pitched tents. A few have ended up brawling over pumps.

Now, two people have died.

An 80-year-old man suffered heart failure while waiting to fill his tank at a petrol station in the town of Lysva in Perm Krai, while a 75-year-old man died while waiting to refuel in Petrozavodsk.

Fuel crisis, attacks in Azov Sea tighten squeeze on Russian farmers

ROSTOV REGION, Russia, July 17 (Reuters) - Vladimir Fedorchenko and his wife Lyubov are expecting a good harvest this year on their farm in southern Russia, and yet the couple are worried.

A nationwide fuel crisis - the result of months of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian refineries - has caused a spike in the price of the diesel they need for their tractors and harvesters. And their workers, Vladimir says, are "queuing for half a day" just to fill up their cars so they can get to the farm.

Russians turn to cash, putting more strain on slowing wartime economy

Russians are returning to cash, as mobile internet shutdowns disrupt card payments, and more businesses seek to dodge tax under mounting financial pressure more than four years into the war with Ukraine.

Russia has added 1.56tn roubles (£14.8bn; $20bn) in cash into circulation since the start of the year - the biggest rise for the equivalent period in any year outside the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Central Bank figures analysed by the BBC.

The spike comes amid a wave of Ukrainian drone attacks, which have repeatedly led the Kremlin to shut down mobile internet across large swathes of the country, leaving many unable to pay by card. The government says the aim of the shutdowns is to counter the drone strikes.

In the Eyes of Truth Update 16.07.2026 Fuel apocalypse has hit Russia. Its over for Kremlin.

MSN? JFC.

It is a fact there is a fuel shortage in Russia. I know YouTubers based in Russia that left for various reasons. Only a matter of time before it hits the USA unless the Iran conflict is resolved.

Well, it's to be expected, right? Russia-Russia-Russia. The Western Elites' Perpetual Enemy.

As for Chy-Nuh...after years of enjoying a "special" relationship with the de-industrializing West (actually, the Globalist financiers, manipulating Western governments into economic suicide) there's now this chaotic, back-and-forth whipsawing of "tariffs." And of course, the blonde bimbos in Brussels, looking for places to put "sanctions" on.

China now has a manufacturing base (what there is of it, if you can call shoddy, cheap, poorly-made product-lines a "base") and no reliable partner to buy it. Russia, unlike the Woked Untied Skates, is not hungry for flashy-but-shoddy consumer goods, but they DO have needs. And they HAVE energy. Or had it, before the Untied Skates, using Ukraine as a pawn, started blowing up refineries.

So it's a massive realignment. It didn't have to happen - except that it did, because our leaders are STOO-PIDD.

Donroe Doctrine Goes Live: From Ukraine to Falklands

The Kremlin released rare footage of a high-level meeting between Vladimir Putin and Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, followed by their first trip to Kyiv this term and a comparatively restrained response from Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signaling revived U.S. diplomacy on Ukraine. The script argues Putin views the American team as a more trusted broker than European leaders and notes a recent sequence of engagements, including CIA Director Ratcliffe’s public Moscow visit and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s G20 outreach to Russia’s finance minister. With Kirill Dmitriev present, Moscow described detailed discussions of major U.S.-Russia economic projects, alongside claims that Bessent is choking off offshore and banking channels funding Ukraine via Europe, the UK, and Canada. It then pivots to Argentina’s renewed Malvinas/Falklands push as Trump publicly and reportedly reconsiders automatic U.S. support for British sovereignty, recalling internal U.S. divisions during the 1982 war.

Russia is NOT the enemy

Timing is everything.

Russian oil is ALREADY arriving in the U.S. a day after the announcement and more is coming.

Everything planned and timed.

Didn’t Trump call Putin recently?

He’s had at least six calls with Putin this year.
Zelensky thought he could stop Russian diesel from reaching America. He failed.

Now we’re helping to “fund” Russia’s war against Ukraine.

What a turn of events.

The neocons must be in shock. Their constant drumbeat of Putin being our enemy is being destroyed and they can’t do anything about it.
Trump is “showing” the American people who our real enemies are.

Trump “publicly” told Zelensky to quit destroying Russian oil refineries because of diesel prices.

Zelensky attacked them anyway.
“Liddle” Zelensky is just a puppet of NATO and the EU.
That’s where the real disagreement is.

Then Trump makes a deal with Putin to ship Russian diesel to America.
Putting it under the umbrella protection of the U.S.

Don’t miss the importance of this move by Trump and Bessent.
It goes beyond a dispute between Trump and Zelensky.

What does Zelensky do after the oil deal?

He immediately attacks Russian refineries again.

The oil deal with Russia is now beginning to draw the clear dividing line.

Who wants to keep the war/money laundering going and who doesn’t?

Who wants the continued slaughter of innocent Ukrainians kidnapped and FORCED to the frontlines and who doesn’t?

The choice isn’t really for Zelensky, it’s for NATO and the EU.

Trump just “publicly” chose the side of Putin.

NATO and the EU don’t like it.
But there’s nothing they can do about it.
Trump and Putin hold all the power.
They control the energy supply into Europe and winter is coming.

What happens if the two leaders decide to turn off the energy spigot?

Not only does it squeeze Ukraines war effort, but it puts an even worsening squeeze on the economy in the EU.

And all of this is happening as Trump supporting candidates are sweeping into power and winning elections across Europe in dramatic fashion. They all want an end to EU money supporting Ukraine too.

And now Trump has the “excuse” to deal with NATO, the EU and Zelensky in a “completely different way.”

Now Trump, Bessent and Putin have the “public” narrative that Zelensky, backed by the EU and NATO, are attacking “American interests.”

That’s a clear dividing line.

Does anybody think there aren’t going to be serious consequences?

Between Trump and the EU/NATO?

Generations of Americans have been indoctrinated in every way and bombarded by both sides of the media, “telling” them that Putin is our mortal enemy.

They automatically believe that any enemy of Putin is automatically an ally of the U.S.

It’s a complete lie.

How do you “show” the people the truth?

Follow the timeline.

Trump cuts off the supply of U.S. weapons directly to Ukraine, FORCING the EU and NATO countries to “purchase” our “old armaments” for Ukraine.

Trump cuts off any “new” taxpayers funding to Ukraine, FORCING the EU and NATO to fully fund the Ukraine war.

That “set the stage.”

A clear “separation” between Trump and Zelensky.

Two things that the EU and NATO need in order to keep this war going:

Money and Oil.

Both of those things are in short supply in the EU.

Trump and Bessent just connected our financial interests and energy interests with Putin.

That changed the dynamic in Ukraine.

Here’s what I would watch for now.

Are Trump and Putin going to shut off the oil spigot to the EU?

There’s still 20 billion in taxpayers dollars for Ukraine, that were designated by Congress under Biden and haven’t been released. Zelensky has been lobbying for that money.

Did Zelensky’s new attack just “give” Trump the excuse to “freeze” that money and can Bessent now put the financial squeeze on Ukraine, similar to Iran?

I believe Zelensky’s “personal theft” of taxpayers money is about to be fully exposed by Bessent.

The EU and NATO are about to find out who has the real power and Zelensky’s days are numbered.
