What I will do the first 24 hours after a complete collapse of society...WHAT WILL YOU DO???

southernprepper1 details practical steps for securing a homestead and organizing resources during a hypothetical large-scale emergency. Strategies include establishing communication networks, managing water and power reserves, coordinating with neighbors, and organizing essential supplies to maintain readiness when standard systems are unavailable.

Not having seen it yet...not for contempt, but because most of what's discussed on these entry-level vids I've dealt with...

...but, not having seen it...there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

DEPENDS ON THE WHO-WHAT-WHERE-WHEN-HOW-WHY.

A political uprising, would have you best hunkering down. Even if you're hungry. Water and ammo and bullet-stops to hide behind. You do NOT want to be on the street.

Grid-down is the opposite. MOST of us will have to bug out. Apartment houses with no water or heat will become unliveable in mere hours...it's bug-out-bag time.

Nuke war...if you don't have a cellar identified...you're probably a casualty, from radiation. But the LAST place you want to be, is on the street with the panicked sheeple, and exposed to immediate fallout.

So there is no one-size-fits-all plan. What you DO need to do - and I'm sure this is part of what this guy is doing - you want to THINK about it. Have various plans. BE FAMILIAR with whatever decision-tree you construct, so you don't make the same panic-driven jack@ss mistake everyone else is making.

Got that queued up...my listening stack. Right now I can't just go watch it - computer difficulties. Damaged Blew Toof codec that doesn't let me play sound anymore.

But, I've noticed, as he is noticing, how very strange and misanthropic our Top 2-percent of the top 1-percent, have become. Epstein wasn't a corrupter; he was just a provider, for the forbidden toys this new multibillionaire class demands.

A class that wants to engineer viruses, that wants to politically create panics and famines and compliance with police-state lockdown orders...to reduce **THEM** to subsistence living while they enjoy uncrowded roads to their favorite resorts, and restaurants all to themselves.

While they work to hopefully merge their far-superior brains (they believe) with AI, to create some sort of Eternal Life.

Calling these people Lizard Men is unearned flattery. They're demonic.

Could your family survive three months cut off from the grid as the Pentagon prepares for the worst?

If an adversary knocked out America’s regional power grids and severed major freight corridors tomorrow, could the average family hold out on their own? That question is moving to the center of national security discussions as the Department of Defense quietly begins rewiring domestic military installations to survive 90 days completely severed from civilian utilities, prompting former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino to issue a blunt appeal for citizens to build their own emergency stockpiles.

The trigger behind the public warning is an ambitious Pentagon overhaul launched by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth known as Project FORTRESS — short for Federal Operations for Resilience, Troop Resources, Energy, Supply, and Survivability. In a directive establishing a specialized implementation office under Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment Michael Duffey, Hegseth labeled the project “the nation’s insurance policy.”

Why is the UK telling people to stockpile? | BBC News

Oct 27, 2026 #BBCNews #Stockpile #UK
Major retailers have reported a big rise in sales of tinned food, bottled water, wind up radios and batteries, after the government launched its 'be ready' campaign.
The government is urging people to stock up on enough for three days in case of a crisis - like extreme weather or a cyber-attack.
The security minister's defended the campaign, arguing that our European neighbours seem better prepared.

Played around with co-pilot and came up with this. It is mainly about here, the USA. When I get the chance I'll post about Europe.

Civil Defense in Today’s World

Modern civil defense is the organized system of protective measures, emergency preparedness, and relief activities for civilians facing military threats, natural disasters, cyber incidents, and other catastrophic events Wikipedia+1.

Current Scope and Purpose

Today, civil defense is largely integrated into emergency management and homeland security frameworks. It focuses on all‑hazards preparedness — covering natural disasters, terrorism, pandemics, cyberattacks, and critical infrastructure threats — rather than solely military attack CNA. The U.S. and many other nations use an “all‑hazards” approach under initiatives like the National Preparedness Goal, which defines core capabilities for federal, state, local, and community response CNA.

Key Components

  1. Prevention & Mitigation – Reducing vulnerability through infrastructure hardening, cybersecurity, and hazard mitigation projects Wikipedia+1.
  2. Preparedness – Training, drills, and contingency planning for multiple disaster types CNA+1.
  3. Response – Coordinated emergency action by government, first responders, and volunteers during incidents Domestic Preparedness.
  4. Recovery – Restoring services, economies, and communities after disasters Wikipedia.

Modern Threats

Civil defense now addresses:

  • Natural disasters: hurricanes, floods, wildfires, earthquakes CNA.
  • Public health emergencies: pandemics, bioterrorism CNA.
  • Cyber and industrial incidents: ransomware, sabotage, supply chain disruptions CNA.
  • Critical infrastructure risks: power grids, water systems, transportation networks CNA.
  • Geopolitical pressures: economic coercion, disruptive state actions CNA.

U.S. Domestic Civil Defense Assets

Beyond FEMA, state agencies, and local emergency management, volunteer and uniformed forces play a vital role:

  • Civil Air Patrol (CAP) – aerial awareness, training, and disaster support.
  • U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary – maritime safety, port security, and coastal disaster response.
  • State Guard forces – local surge capacity in emergencies Domestic Preparedness.

Challenges

Experts note that brittle supply chains, aging infrastructure, and cyber risks create cascading vulnerabilities CNA. Gaps in funding, bureaucratic silos, and underutilization of volunteer forces also hinder readiness Domestic Preparedness.

Outlook

A renewed civil defense framework is being called for to integrate military, civil, private, and public sector capabilities, secure critical infrastructure, and maintain public trust during crises CNA+1. This includes both traditional disaster preparedness and new scenarios involving hybrid threats.

In short: Today’s civil defense is a multi‑layered, all‑hazards system blending government, community, and private sector efforts to protect civilians from a wide range of risks, with a strong emphasis on preparedness, resilience, and rapid response Wikipedia+3.
