They've taken a leaf out of the Victoria Police playbook.

The entrapment set-up is meant to highlight ongoing safety concerns and was part of Work Zone Awareness Week, authorities said.

That's why every single one of those tickets would be tossed out if challenged in court.

It's only entrapment when the disguised LE officer solicits someone else to commit a crime.

Actually arresting or citing a criminal or violator, while not in uniform, is not entrapment.

Something I've noticed, last couple of years, is that unmarked, undercover cop cars are becoming ubiquitous. Used to be they were detective or follow-up rides; but now, they're equipped with all the cop-car thingys, just the lights hidden inside or behind the grille or inside the taillight housings.

Just the same, it's not entrapment. Just a bit low class. I prefer a straight-up player...let me know who I'm dealing with, as I mash the gas. I'm gonna drive differently with a garbage truck bearing down on me, than I would with some old biddy in an old Cavalier.

And I'll drive a bit differently with an obvious bear cage in sight.
