Stopped by a few LCSs over the weekend.

One shop had bullion, and was selling silver generics, maples and ASEs at spot +$2.50, +$3.50, and +$4.50 respectively. Gold maples were +$65, AGEs at +$85.

Another shop didn't carry much gold or silver bullion either, but did have some nice shiny Franklin halves. He was quoting face x 25, which came up to around +$2.80.

Been looking for a decent LCS close to home (Irvine area). Any recommendations?

FWIW, on the Kitco forums, some Los Angeles people mentioned California Numismatic Investments (CNI) close to LAX.

Their prices seem reasonable:
AGEs = spot + $70
Gold Buffaloes = spot + $80
ASEs = spot + $2.75
Silver Maples = spot + $2.25

Minimum order is $2,000. Free shipping.

Thanks sh. Wish I had some suggestion to offer you, but I have no experience with brick and morter retailers in California.
