Sounds like almost every officer & 2/3 of the NCO's in the army back when I was in.
There's hard commanders; and there's lunatics.
I had to serve under both. It's a fine line; but when it's understood what's expected, the men will work to meet those expectations. When it's a kook making noise, the men stop trying and turn to contempt and ridicule.
I wonder if the Jab...Brain Fog...is part of this.
