Palantir Technologies Inc. is a publicly traded American software company specializing in big data analytics, not a single "program" but a suite of software platforms designed to integrate, analyze, and visualize vast amounts of data for decision-making. Founded in 2003 by Peter Thiel, Alex Karp, and others, Palantir initially focused on supporting government intelligence agencies but has since expanded to commercial sectors. Below is an overview of its main platforms and their uses based on available information.
Palantir's Main Platforms
  1. Palantir Gotham
    • Purpose: Primarily designed for government, defense, and intelligence agencies, Gotham integrates and analyzes disparate data sources—such as financial records, communication logs, sensor data, and intelligence reports—to uncover patterns and provide actionable insights.
    • Use Cases:
      • Counterterrorism and Defense: Used by the U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and allies to predict locations of improvised explosive devices (e.g., in Afghanistan), track threats, and plan missions. It layers AI-driven insights and live sensor data to optimize decision-making.
      • Law Enforcement: Supports agencies like the FBI, DHS, and ICE. For example, in 2013, Palantir helped the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center build a license plate database. In 2014, ICE contracted Palantir for $41 million to develop the Investigative Case Management (ICM) system to track personal and criminal records of immigrants, reaching full capacity by 2017.
      • Surveillance and Security: The platform has been used to centralize data for profiling and surveillance, such as by ICE for workplace raids via the FALCON Mobile app, sparking controversy among civil liberties groups.
  2. Palantir Foundry
    • Purpose: Targets commercial and civil government sectors, enabling organizations to integrate data, build digital twins (virtual models of processes or systems), run simulations, and drive operational insights.
    • Use Cases:
      • Healthcare: During the COVID-19 pandemic, Foundry helped the U.S. government track vaccine manufacture and distribution, and NHS England analyzed vaccination program operations. It also supported the National Covid Cohort Collaborative for health data analysis.
      • Commercial Applications: Used by companies like Morgan Stanley, Airbus, and Fiat Chrysler to optimize workflows, improve efficiency (e.g., oil drill operations), and enhance decision-making across finance, automotive, and energy sectors.
      • Public Sector: Administered the UK Homes for Ukraine program and helped the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs save over $90 million in six months via data-driven acquisition analysis.
  3. Palantir Apollo
    • Purpose: A continuous delivery and infrastructure platform, Apollo enables Gotham and Foundry to operate in secure, isolated environments like submarines or classified government clouds, ensuring updates and functionality without public cloud reliance.
    • Use Cases: Supports mission-critical operations in defense, such as the U.S. Army’s Robotic Combat Vehicle program, integrating hardware and software for autonomous systems.
  4. Palantir Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP)
    • Purpose: The newest offering, AIP integrates large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT or LLaMA with Palantir’s platforms to operationalize AI, minimizing risks like hallucinations (inaccurate AI outputs) in business contexts.
    • Use Cases:
      • AI-Driven Decisions: Powers real-time decision-making in commercial and government settings, from public health to battery production.
      • Customer Service: Lowe’s Companies, Inc. used AIP to scale customer service, reducing overdue activities by 75% for over 1,000 users.
      • Enterprise AI: Combines generative AI with operations, supporting web, mobile, and edge applications via an “AI Mesh.”
How Palantir Is Used
Palantir’s platforms act as a central “operating system” for data, often described as an ontology—a unified model of data, logic, and decisions. Organizations use it to:
  • Integrate Data: Combine siloed datasets (e.g., financial, operational, open-source) into a single, accessible view.
  • Analyze and Visualize: Employ AI, machine learning, and analytics to identify patterns, run simulations, and display insights visually.
  • Drive Decisions: Enable real-time, data-driven actions, from military mission planning to optimizing corporate supply chains.
  • Scale Operations: Sticky and bespoke solutions integrate deeply with client systems, making Palantir hard to replace once implemented.
Key Applications and Controversies
  • Government: Palantir’s largest revenue comes from contracts with agencies like the CIA, FBI, NSA, and DHS. A 2024 “Trump trade” narrative highlights its role in national security and immigration enforcement, such as ICE’s deportation efforts, raising concerns about surveillance and profiling of citizens and immigrants.
  • Commercial: Expands to over 40 industries, including healthcare, finance, and manufacturing, with clients like Merck and PG&E leveraging Foundry for efficiency.
  • Controversy: Civil liberties groups criticize Palantir for enabling mass surveillance (e.g., ICE raids, data collection on Americans). A 2021 Foxglove campaign and UK NHS contract scrutiny highlight ethical concerns, despite Palantir’s role in COVID-19 responses.
Availability and Access
  • Palantir’s software runs on customer servers or secure clouds (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), emphasizing security and control.
  • Features vary by enrollment; some are exclusive to Palantir’s managed SaaS or require specific contracts.
  • Beta features are tested with select partners before general availability, with feedback shaping development.
Future Outlook
Palantir aims to be “the government’s central operating system,” expanding surveillance, AI, and data integration for national security, healthcare, and beyond. Its partnership with Oracle in 2023 and focus on AI scalability suggest growth in both government and commercial markets, though costs, custom integration, and ethical debates may challenge adoption.
For more details, visit Palantir’s official site at www.palantir.com. Note: Concerns about surveillance and data privacy remain contentious, and Congress has been urged to regulate such tools. Always consider both the operational benefits and ethical implications of Palantir’s use.

I've been saying for a while that the dollar's decline is going to end with WWIII if the bankers have their way.

WWIII is going to lead to The Great Reset where you will own nothing and be happy because The Great Taking will make sure the bankers are made whole at the expense of everything owned by people.

"Trump flipped on us": MAGA reacts to potential national citizen database

Supporters of President Donald Trump expressed anger and disbelief online following reports that his administration had advanced plans to create a national citizen database with technology firm Palantir.

Newsweek reached out to Palantir for comment.

Why It Matters

The White House has contracted Palantir, a Colorado-based analytics company co-founded by Trump supporter Peter Thiel, to assist in compiling a database of personal information on American citizens, according to unnamed government officials and Palantir employees who spoke with The New York Times. The purported deal follows project talks Palantir had with the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Department of Education.

The reaction from Trump's supporters reflected growing unease within conservative circles, indicating a rare rupture between the president and key segments of his constituency. The controversy underscores nationwide anxieties around privacy, civil liberties, and the growing influence of technology firms over personal information management.

Rolling Stone

GOP Bill Would Legalize DOGE and Let Trump Dismantle Everything

With the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team on dubious legal footing, congressional Republicans are quietly inching forward legislation to grant President Donald Trump new, lawful powers for razing the federal government: the unprecedented ability to propose to Congress, under reorganization authority, the abolition of executive departments, independent regulatory agencies, and all statutory programs in either.

If enacted, the legislation would let Trump recommend that simple majorities in Congress bless any fatal finishing move of his on the alreadygutted Education Department, any other Cabinet-level department, or any executive agency, including independent regulatory agencies - such as the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Federal Communications Commission, and Federal Reserve - designed to serve congressional interests and whose heads have codified protections, albeit flagging, against at-whim firing.

Legal experts tell Rolling Stone the Reorganizing Government Act would empower the president to ask Congress to approve, on a fast track, reorganization plans altering or eliminating how the executive carries out laws passed by Congress, effectively neutralizing, say, any or all civil rights laws, environmental laws, or fill in the blank.

Opinion: Trump and Musk fell out because Trump just doesn’t get principled people

There are limitations to President Trump’s transactional view of the world.

This is evident in his growing tension with Elon Musk, which risks creating political problems that threaten his agenda. Trump usually gets his way through a mix of flattery, favors and intimidation, but Musk is less inclined than most to respond to these techniques.

Musk holds a lot of cards. His Tesla factories employ tens of thousands of American workers. His SpaceX rockets underpin our national aspirations in space. He is also the wealthiest person on the planet, and his wealth facilitates a natural tendency to speak out when his principles are challenged. That was illustrated in late 2023 when he invited advertisers to stay off his social media platform.

It is possible to disagree with everything Musk does and still concede that the man is principled. This is why our less principled President is struggling to understand Musk’s hostility to the tax and spending bill, the oddly named One Big Beautiful Bill Act, so named after an utterance by Trump.

Musk carried out his work at the Department of Government Efficiency without humanity and with childish antics. But if his methods were wrong, his beliefs were real. His opposition to a spending bill that negates his work by increasing federal debt by more than $2 trillion is rooted in deeply held principles.

Kash Patel on Rogan today. I am listening now but so far we can forget about arrests for a lot of things since statute of limitations is 5 years on a bunch of this stuff.
He also talked about the Epstein tapes. Nothing in them. No sexual stuff anyway. Anyone waiting for big names to go down will be waiting a long time. The CT's on all of this should begin any moment. If anyone wants to post the interview they can. Not sure which threat should have it though.

As soon as I saw the title I laughed. Michael Cohen said T would go after M's money. Who knows if it will actually happen. Just some food for thought,

We Should Immediately Nationalize SpaceX and Starlink

Reports about the daily drama of the second Trump administration often feel less like normal political news than recaps of a reality TV show. This is an administration where the actual official name of the president’s signature legislation is the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Meanwhile, Vice President J.D. Vance regularly beefs with mid-tier journalists on social media, and when Trump and Vance dressed down Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office, Trump actually said the words, “This is going to be great television.”

It was only to be expected that, when the Trump/Elon Musk bromance finally soured, things got very personal and very ugly. Media coverage and social media commentary have tended to focus on the respects in which this too is “great television.” But the threats and counterthreats about Musk’s government contracts have been a vivid demonstration of how deeply enmeshed the billionaire’s business empire is with the American state. We should be able to step back from the immediate absurdities of the Trump Show to recognize that this is a much larger problem.

There’s no reason it has to be like this. We don’t need to have a privatized space program propped up by state funding. We don’t need vital satellite internet infrastructure to be controlled, through that company, by a single ultrawealthy individual. We can just nationalize SpaceX.

So start nationalizing companies in the US? Have we really become Venezuela and Cuba?Perhaps we can do electric companies and oil and gas producers next. Then the entire food supply.

If that ever happens the government will screw it up.

Conservative Sen. Josh Hawley wants to raise federal minimum wage

Missouri GOP Sen. Josh Hawley plans to introduce legislation Tuesday to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour — a position that aligns one of the most conservative Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill with some of the most liberal members of Congress.

The legislation, called the "Higher Wages for American Workers Act," would raise the federal standard starting in 2026 and would also call for an increase in subsequent years to match inflation, CBS News has exclusively learned. Vermont Democratic Sen. Peter Welch has signed on as a co-sponsor.

"For decades, working Americans have seen their wages flatline. One major culprit of this is the failure of the federal minimum wage to keep up with the economic reality facing hard-working Americans every day," Hawley said in a statement to CBS News. "This bipartisan legislation would ensure that workers across America benefit from higher wages."
