Federal grand jury indicts Wisconsin judge in immigration case, allowing charges to continue

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal grand jury indicted a Wisconsin judge Tuesday on charges she helped a man in the country illegally evade U.S. immigration authorities looking to arrest him as he appeared before her in a local domestic abuse case.

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan's arrest and ensuing indictment has escalated a clash between President Donald Trump’s administration and local authorities over the Republican’s sweeping immigration crackdown. Democrats have accused the Trump administration of trying to make a national example of Dugan to chill judicial opposition to the crackdown.

Seems John Fetterman may have a few mental health issues.

Mark Halperin says Fetterman's behavior behind the scenes warrants major concerns

Journalist Mark Halperin said Monday that questions about Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman's mental fitness are warranted following bombshell reports this month about his alleged alarming behavior behind the scenes.

"I will say on Fetterman, I really don't understand why Republicans are being so outspoken," Halperin said on Monday's "The Morning Meeting" on his 2WAY platform. Some Republicans have contended Fetterman is being smeared because he's moderated his politics.

"Is it genuine? Because they think he's a great guy getting a bad shake? Are they trying to recruit him to switch parties or are they just trying to make mischief with the Democrats?" Halperin asked.

"But I can tell you, behind the scenes, Fetterman's behavior warrants the commentary it’s gotten plus more. I can tell you that."

I'll bet you, that as soon as Trump is out of office, things "go back" so fast that it will make your head spin.
That's a good observation. One I hope is eliminated by Trump via the rule of law.

It remains to be seen what happens next.

I'm thinking RICO is going to be enacted to strip the deep state naked. It's what I would do if I were POTUS.

Minerals for muscle? Why Trump’s Ukraine resources deal could be a sign of things to come

  • The U.S.-Ukraine deal is designed to deepen economic ties, bolster Ukraine’s reconstruction and position the country as a supplier of strategically important minerals to the U.S.
  • Ro Dhawan, CEO of the International Council on Mining and Metals, said the agreement is not the first and certainly won’t be the last international deal where minerals and geopolitics mix so closely.
  • “I think we’re likely to see more outreach to producer countries to make deals which could take the form of what I have previously called ‘minerals for muscle,’” Dhawan told CNBC.
A landmark resources deal between the U.S. and Ukraine is expected to lay the ground for further so-called “minerals for muscle” agreements.

Washington and Kyiv signed a highly anticipated minerals deal earlier this month. The agreement, which has since been ratified by Ukrainian lawmakers, is designed to deepen economic ties, bolster Ukraine’s reconstruction and position the country as a supplier of strategically important minerals to the U.S.

Long coveted by U.S. President Donald Trump, the partnership followed months of tense negotiations and came more than three years since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Inflation hasn't even begun to kick in from the tariffs yet. Wal Mart has already warned of higher prices right around the corner. They and most other retailers are just burning through inventory they already had.
As we know from the COVID inflation, once prices go up they seldom if ever come down. Consumers just get used to paying higher prices so retailers leave them up. Case in point, go try and buy a rib eye at 2020 prices. We have plenty of beef in this country so no reason to keep the prices high if the consumer wasn't willing to pay it. Oh and beef prices are going higher too. Live calf auctions here the going rate is over 4 bucks a lb. Thats just for a calf. 5 years ago I was buying beef from the farmers at 3.50 after processing. With 4 bucks a lb for calves that's probably going to be 9-10 bucks with processing by the end of the year.
Gas prices are just as high or higher than when Trump took office. 3.10-3.20 a gallon around here. Right after he took office it did sink down to 2.80 and I thought we were heading in the right direction but that didn't last long.

Great interview, Hanson covers a lot of ground at 1.5X speed

"No One Is Prepared for What’s About to Happen in California... | Victor Davis Hanson"

"No One Is Prepared for What’s About to Happen in California... | Victor Davis Hanson"

In this video, Hanson dissects how progressive policies have led to California’s decline, from rising crime and homelessness to unchecked bureaucratic overreach. He argues that Gavin Newsom embodies the contradictions of the modern left—promoting equity while presiding over growing inequality, and pushing climate agendas while benefiting from elite privilege. Hanson illustrates how California, once a symbol of American opportunity, has become a cautionary tale under one-party rule. Ultimately, he contends that the state’s dysfunction reveals the dangerous consequences of ideology-driven leadership disconnected from everyday reality. Victor Davis Hanson exposes the left’s hypocrisy in their governance of California and their support for Gavin Newsom.
