A pennyweight (dwt) is a unit of mass equal to 24 grains, 1⁄20 of a troy ounce, 1⁄240 of a troy pound, 48⁄875 avoirdupois ounce and exactly 1.55517384 grams. In the Middle Ages, an English penny's weight was 1⁄20 of a troy ounce and 1⁄240 of a pound of sterling silver.
At 1⁄20 of a troy ounce a pennyweight would be about 5¢, about 1⁄20 of a dollar in the 1800s.

a Pennyweight of silver today is $3.58
That used to be our nickle.

Here is 1/10 of a troy ounce... or 10 cents...

BULLION DEALER SHOCKED BY NEWLY MINTED SILVER ON HIS EPIC TOUR! 🔥

Watch as my seasoned bullion dealer, Tim Marschner of the Coin and Stamp Shop joins Silver Dave of Local Silver Mint on an incredible mint tour! Tim is amazed at the quality "coining" efforts by Silver Dave and his team. And even says, "They're better than the US Mint" when he examines the final product. Do you agree? Are you excited that Tim wants to display Dave's SilverBitz in his coin shop? Join Tim and I as we walk through the process from silver melting, pouring, casting, and quenching, to punching, deburring and polishing silver blanks. Finally, see Tim and I press Dave's brand-new design into the latest version of Local Silver Mint's Silver Bitz! And along the way we discuss various topics like silver manipulation, Central Bank Digital Currencies, and the problems at silver refineries. You'll want to share this exciting tour with others! Never before has stacking precious metals been as important to do as it is today. Protect yourself from out-of-control governments, evil central banks, and the failing US dollar's grip as the world's reserve currency. Make sure you build a stack of silver rounds, silver bars, silver coins, and gold coins as essential barter and wealth preservation!

Dealers love to talk in Pennyweight when buying or selling, drives me nuts...grams or nothing.

Great video.

SD is crazy enough to pull it off. He needs to sell the business when silver spot exceeds $150. Take the $ and run.
