It’s the equivalent of levying taxes and fees on public-transportation users and those who walk or bicycle to work and using the money to reduce the price of gasoline.
And Tesla is coming out with a charging system that will be as quick as filling up a gas tank. The concern about batteries not taking a quick charge because of heat is eliminated by it being liquid cooled.
i will be curious if this happens ....both of my kids families own a tesla with the self driving software installed
I don’t know this specifics, but I was told from somebody in the industry that this liquid cooling product will be something new. And eventually will have solid state batteries and that’ll be a game changer.Tesla vehicles have had a liquid cooling system for the battery subsystem since day one, the numerous fires are a result of this cooling system failing. I see a Tesla on fire (or the aftermath) at least once a week here in 'straya.
For a 90kWh battery to be fully charged in five minutes... the amount of power required is 500kW. There isn't a system up to the task anywhere in the US, let alone elsewhere. Now picture a million of these hypothetically all charging at the same time...

It has nothing to do with needing more charging stations.
It has to do with the tech of the batteries needing to be warmed to a certain temperature before they will accept a charge.

It won't matter.Just think how many of these EV fires there will be if the wacko dems finally get their wish of all cars being EV's.
What I wanna know is, how many ICE cars worth of pollution is created by each EV battery fire.
It's gotta be a bunch.
Just look at the thick toxic smoke pouring off those things, sometimes for hours or even days of burning until they can be completely extinguished.
