there was quite a significant spread between Spot and Futures prices friday .....seems that has moderated a lot today ....lol...some traders came to their senses and calmed down a bit
 
Been watching PM's closely over the past year or so. Not doing much buying or selling. Been stacking for well over 30 years. My average buy price for silver is around $15 and gold is about $1700. I really wish I had bought more gold, even fairly recently but in retrospect I'm in pretty good shape. Frankly I think I have enough of both, but very happy to see prices rising.

Besides I'm retired now and would rather spend my money on frivolous things like my '57 Chevy, Black Betty..... :cool:

I am waiting for a pullback to enter SILV. It seems to be the best performing silver ETF?
 
Oh God that Chevy has me going ga-ga.

I always expected to buy a Sunday car after I retired and I could if I wanted to , that or a new Harly. But I think my time has passed, Ive gotten old and the injuries have crept up and I dont like driving anymore. I'd rather put the money into PMs for my family after i croak. But I do like looking at them and absolutely love your '57 Chevy.

Enjoy. And maybe I'll get around to buying that '66 'stang .289, custom Pony interior that was my High School car.

I've got a couple of collector cars and I think I have enough of them too. I was born in 1957 and one of my uncles had a 57 Chevy that I always admired. I've wanted one for years and it was a dream come true last fall.

My other car is a bit more modern. Its a 2011 Dodge Challenger in a special factory color. I built it into a high performance race car and raced it for a few years until I reached my goal. Now its just my play toy that I show, & cruise around a bit in.

Had to have them when running the 1/4 mile at the track. As you improve your runs they add more safety requirements. When I broke into the 10's (10 seconds) it was the end of my drag racing hobby. They require a cage or roll bar at that time. I was done modifying my car for racing. God knows how much I'd done and spent to get to the 10's. Its an expensive sport and you are constantly breaking stuff. I've removed a few things,.... like the loop for my drive shaft. It was always scraping something underneath. It was fun while it lasted
 
Vichris your killing me with all that American muscle. Only MOPAR could possibly make a car in that color classic. It is beautiful, I'm happy for you. That engine is a beast. A Beast ! If I remember right it was in 2011 they put a new Hemi into the Challenger. Man I love the rims. I had some nice cars in my youth, fast cars, but nothing like a 10 second car like this.

I had a few "sleepers" too. Like mt '66 Chevy Caprice 4 door 396 with a big Holly dropped in and candy apple red paint. Back when that oil crisis hit I was buying big block cars left and right. I had a few Mopars with 440's in them just cause I loved the engine. Just like I loved the Ford 289. I had a '66 Fairlane 4 door in blue that was a great automobile.

Now those were cars back then.
 
Broke over $42 a few times today. Odd that both Gold AND silver are hitting new highs about weekly lately.
 
Silver is not at a new high. It is 20% away and much more inflatiion adjusted which makes it a good value.
