Nathan Lewin, a defense attorney for the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada, said the court’s Jan. 23 ruling against his client in several pre-trial decisions is “suspect” because of that relationship, of which he was not informed until late last month. -JTA

At the defendants' request, Schoenfeld stepped down from the case on July 1, having disclosed a newly discovered relationship that, he mentioned, could cast doubts on Engoron's ethical integrity.

He planned to report these concerns to the relevant bodies, as outlined by Lewin in his documents.

Lewin suggested that the behaviors observed in this matter might have legal implications and urged for a thorough inquiry by the court.

Because if by having a tighter Texas border it only means that they all just switch to coming in through New Mexico, Arizona and Commiefornia, it's not really helping the nation as a whole. As they are still getting in.

NEW YORK (AP) — The staggering civil fraud judgment against Donald Trump was finalized in New York on Friday, making official a verdict that leaves the former president on the hook for more than $454 million in fines and interest.

The procedural step by the New York county clerk starts the clock on Trump’s appeals process, while allowing the debt to begin racking up post-judgment interest of nearly $112,000 each day, according to a spokesperson for New York Attorney General Letitia James, who brought the case.

In his Feb. 16 ruling, Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that Trump lied for years about his wealth in order to secure favorable loans and make deals that helped prop up his real estate empire. He was ordered to pay $354.9 million in penalties plus nearly $100 million in interest.

I think this is exactly what they want. Flood the cities with illegals. The conservatives will all leave and the cities will be all blue all across the country. Game, set, match. Biggest voting demographic is the cities. They lock them in to being all blue and can then focus on a few more areas to concentrate their cash and try and turn them blue.
Federal government funds all of this anyway through NGO's and funnels conservative tax dollars right through to the blue cities. Remember when trump was elected and they started destroying cities. Along comes Biden to bail them all out and rebuild.

Donald Trump on Monday appealed a judge's decision to impose $354.9 million in penalties on the former president and curtail his ability to do business in New York state for fraudulently exaggerating his net worth to secure better loan terms.

Trump asked an intermediate-level state appellate court to overturn Justice Arthur Engoron's Feb. 16 ruling in a civil fraud lawsuit brought in 2022 by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The penalties, along with sizable jury awards in two other civil cases, could become a drain on Trump's cash reserves and hobble parts of his real estate empire as he pursues the Republican nomination to challenge President Joe Biden in the Nov. 5 U.S. election.

James, a Democrat, accused Trump in the lawsuit of overstating his net worth by as much as $3.6 billion in financial statements provided to banks. Trump has accused James and Engoron of political bias against him.
