Donnie's not a happy camper.

In a statement, Mr Trump said the Democrats who control the House until the 118th Congress convenes on 3 January “should have never done it” and the US Supreme Court “should have never approved” the committee’s request for the returns, which was the focus of a yearslong court battle that spanned Mr Trump’s own administration and the Biden administration.

Trump is right yet again.

We all know this was a political attack. They want to 'dis' Trump in every possible way to discourage (convince?) the people that he's bad juju...

The only problem is their hubris. They still think the people will 'follow the stars'. The people are waking up! If the D's couldn't cheat they would be tossed in the dust bin of history.

"The shoe goes on the other foot tonight." "Every dog has it's day." "Be careful what you wish for?" idioms come to mind.

They have unwittingly opened Pandora's box, because "What goes around comes around...."

I want to see all the people's tax returns that had contributions from FTX or SBF. Now that might be worth a read.

From the Ways and Means Committee. You want attachment E.

When it comes to stuff like this I believe that anyone who runs for an elected office where they can make laws, or sign into law anything that concerns taxpayer's dollars should have to turn over 8 years of their personal and business tax returns before they are allowed to run for office.

Would eliminate all sorts of problems.

It's during your years in office that is the real concern. Not before you get the job. And most of this stuff is left off your tax return anyway if you are up to shady things.

"The disclosures raise multiple questions about whether Trump's tax strategies simply took advantage of the law or broke it."
I'm betting the former..
Of course it is. Trump has too much to lose to risk becoming the next Wesley Snipes by f'ing around with the tax code.

but they're raising doubt in the minds of the masses by posing the statement
Of course that is what this is. They are using class warfare in order to influence proles opinion of Trump.

Would you be if your tax returns were made public?

Do the Democrats ever learn?
Haven't yet.

Then enact a law saying that. To expect people to comply with what you or anyone else merely THINKS the law should be, is beyond ridiculous.

That's EXACTLY what Trump has said! (he's right again!) BUT he said for family members as well so the politicians can't hide money behind their relatives... which is what they've been doing all along!

This move by the Democrats opens the doors for the Senile Sniffer, Slick Willie's, the Great Pretender's and the Shrub's taxes to go public too. Do the Democrats ever learn? The burnt themselves on changing House & Senate rules that only came back to bite them hard. So much for once burnt, twice shy.
"These people are stupid"

Then enact a law saying that.

Don't think too many peeps would go along with it.

If "not too many" would go along with it, it's obviously not popular enough to enact a law requiring it then, is it?
....and the dems had two whole years to do so, yet they continue to bitch and moan about Trump having not released his 7 years ago. The saying that he lives in their heads rent free, is true. lol
