Egypt says 600 trucks of humanitarian aid will enter the Gaza Strip daily

🗣 "There's an agreement that 600 trucks will enter Gaza daily, 50 of which will carry fuel," Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stated during a press conference in Cairo with Nigeria's Foreign Minister. He expressed hope that half of these trucks would be directed to northern Gaza, an area facing dire humanitarian needs.

This announcement is consistent with the details of the Israeli-Hamas ceasefire agreement, brokered with the involvement of Qatar, Egypt, and the US and set to take effect on January 19 at 8:30 a.m. local time.

The deal outlines a 42-day truce, with aspirations for a permanent end to the 15-month conflict that has claimed the lives of 46,000 Palestinians and approximately 1,500 Israelis, spilling over into Lebanon and Yemen and sparking missile exchanges between Israel and Iran.

The first phase of the agreement involves the release of 33 Israeli hostages in exchange for about 1,000 Palestinian prisoners of war. Israeli forces are expected to withdraw to the Gaza border, though they will remain within the Strip's boundaries initially.

The increased humanitarian aid flow, reaching 600 trucks per day, will commence immediately upon the ceasefire taking effect. In addition to essential supplies, Palestinians will receive 200,000 tents and 60,000 mobile homes.

Trump Says He Wants to ‘Clean Out’ Gaza, Send Refugees to Egypt and Jordan​

TEL AVIV—President Trump said he wants to “clean out” the Gaza Strip and urged Jordan and Egypt to take in refugees either temporarily or for the long term, a move that has been rejected by Arab countries since the war began.

The president said he told King Abdullah II of Jordan in a phone call on Saturday that he wants the monarch’s country to receive Palestinians. He said he expected to make a similar request of Egypt’s president, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, in a coming phone call.

“You’re talking about a million and half people, and we just clean out that whole thing,” the president told reporters on Air Force One on Saturday. “You know over the centuries it’s had many, many conflicts. And I don’t know, something has to happen.”

The comments and other recent moves by his administration reflect a sharp change in policy toward the conflict in Gaza compared with under former President Joe Biden.

Leavitt stressed Mr. Trump hadn't committed to U.S. troops on the ground there and said the U.S. would not pay for the rebuilding of Gaza.

Trump says people should think of Gaza as ‘a big real estate site’ the US will own​

President Trump has doubled down on his call to transform Gaza from a devastated wartorn territory to “a big real estate site” that ultimately, the U.S. will own.

Speaking with reporters Sunday during an Air Force 1 press gaggle ahead of the Superbowl in New Orleans, Trump spoke about his plans to rebuild the shattered territory following nearly 18 months of conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“Think of it as a big real estate site and the United States is going to own it,” he said, when pushed on Gaza.

Don't know if this is going to happen or not.

Trump is a master at forward thinking. He said "Gaza" and the whole world start spinning around what he said, what he meant, how it will happen, when it will happen yada yada yada....

The focus is on the above in the next couple of news cycles and nothing else!

He'll probably come out with something else in a few days for the hive mind to focus on.

Spooked: Trump disowns his "take over the Gaza Strip" remarks after his golf resort was vandalized (video)​

Last month, Donald Trump was full of bravado as he told reporters that the U.S. "would take over the Gaza Strip" and turn it into a resort. And to fulfill his dream, he said he would "resettle people permanently." He even promoted his fantasized Trump Gaza resort in a bizarre AI music video.

But, after pro-Palestinian activists vandalized one of his golf resorts in Scotland three days ago, painting "Gaza Is Not For Sale" across the lawn, Trump is suddenly singing a different tune - one in which he forgets all the lyrics.

"Nobody is expelling any Palestinians," Trump said incredulously, as if he were hit with a wave of dementia when a reporter asked him about his Gaza Riviera plans on Fox News today. (See video below, posted by Aaron Rupar.)
