Those are ugly numbers. That so many folks were able to buy properties with nothing, or v ery little down is a failure of epic p[roportions. When my step-monster married my mom, he had been saving for ten years to put money down on a home. He had skin in the game, and he was not about to lose his DP. These days, FHA loans can be had for 3 percent down. I could go and buy a 30 million dollar property theoretically.

How stupid is that?
