I was buying Ducats for $110 when 1/10 oz popular coins were going for $130 and the Ducats have more Gold.
Little things like that made them a favorite for me, because when prices soar the only thing that matters is weight.

I have ducats too. I was making an observation that old European gold coins are the last to sell because many want modern even weights.

It has also been a long time since ducats or guilders were much cheaper than similar even weight fractional coins.

I actually.got the best fractional deals on 20 francs and 1/10th AUS WWII commemoratives. Gold is gold.

2025 $25 BU gold Eagle FINAL last reported sales 25,000 - not Audited mintage but last reported sales. Within 900 coins of the 1991 key. If you can buy these as close to spot as the common dates, these are the ones to get.
Apparently these are already gone from wholesalers. Skyrocketing gold means 'it all melts the same' prevails but watch the premiums on these and pay attention to 2026 sales.
