Russian TV touts missile targets in U.S. for hypothetical "vengeance"

"Moscow -- Russia dialled up its military rhetoric this week with state television naming U.S. military facilities that Moscow would target in response to a hypothetical U.S. nuclear strike. The segment on a flagship Sunday news show -- first of this kind since March 2014, when the same show stated that Russia was capable of "turning the U.S. into radioactive ashes" -- came on the heels of the two countries suspending a 1980s nuclear arms control treaty and President Vladimir Putin announcing work on a new hypersonic nuclear missile.

The anchor of the show, Dmitry Kiselyov, known for its vehement pro-Kremlin and anti-American stance, showed a map of the U.S. with targets......"

This needs to be done so the American people become aware of the potential consequences of picking a fight with a country that is capable of resisting US aggression.

Trump wanted to trade / deal with the Russians but the neocon war machine and the clinton organisation turned it against him.

There is absolutely no reason for us not to be dealing with Russia. They have not done anything against us in aggression in a very long time.

What's the big deal? The U.S.A. & Russia have had weapons aimed at each other for decades.
Does anyone think Russia doesn't know which cities/bases/etc are targeted?

Why we are still enemies with them is idiotic at best. They have strategic resources galore that we should be looking in to and they are currently supplying Europe with most of their nat gas as well. When the wall came down in Berlin, that should have been the end of it. Once the union fell apart and the Balkans became independent states again, we should have cozied right up to them and started buying up all the rare earth minerals they would sell us. At the time, they were dead ass broke from trying to keep up the facade of being a superpower. What people didn't know was that when they had those grand parades with tanks and rockets, it was just that. Those were all of them. They didn't have anything close to what they led us to believe they had. Even today, their navy is shit, their subs are shit too. They may have some decent missiles, and a few nice jets, but dollar for dollar, our military hardware cannot be matched. Our problem is that Obama went and <redacted - see forum guidelines on epithets>ged up our military, fucking up the whole mission. He made it about LGBTQ, fairness, women, etc. Everything but fucking killing, winning and combat. He fired, retired or arrested anyone who didn't toe the line and replaced them with milquetoasts.

If Trump doesn't fix it, we are well and truly screwed.

The wall may have come down, but internally, Russia is still as backwards as ever. I had occasion to do some consulting work at a refinery in Lithuania (former Soviet occupied Eastern Europe) a few times. Most of the management were still Russians at the time. Smart people, but complete assholes. The management culture there is a reflection of the political structure - authoritarian strongman. The Khodorkovsky saga proved they haven't really evolved IMO.
