Does that company buy gold?
Not everyone in line at the bank is withdrawing cash

That line was for ABC Bullion. ABC Bullion in Australia is more or less analogous to Apmex here in the USA - it's large gold and silver dealer. The Sky News article implies the lines were formed by people wanting to buy.

ABC states on that site to bring the physical metal to their office to sell.

I am implying they are all there to sell their metal for record “profit.”

Some guy (PM bug) online quoted a another person online (wilhelm middelburgher) quoting another guy (wall street silver) quoting another guy online (JulieGsilver) that ABC was not delivering. So apparently ABC needs metal and all those in queue were asked to come sell to them.

My point being, be cautious as our colleague rblong (?) and don’t get stuck for fourteen years buying all at a high.

I think paper printed money is failing everywhere and spread that all the time. But, i have a caution showing my coworkers and family the prices right now. Stuff is only worth what someone else will give you for it.

Not sure if in the right place...

Refining gold

I'd bet they have to go thru metal detectors after work to check for gold that sticks. Even I, one who has never stolen a thing in my life, might get gold fever and go bananas for a minute or two. Gold has that effect, which is why I tell nobody I own it and have safes, dogs, and guns. Lotsa guns.

I mean one little kilo gold bar they could handle if one went MIA right ? But seriously they must have very strict rules and security features at the place including heavily armed security.
