$100/week climb seems reasonable to me, but I honestly don't have as good a feel for the gold market as the silver market right now.

When does it happen? As soon as someone forgets to turn on Mr. Slammy some morning, soon.

I see gold hit $4650 this morning, before the algo monkey-hammers started dumping paper.

Touch intraday in NY. Closes get complicated, then there are weekly, monthly and quarterly averages.

When does the spot price of gold on the COMEX touch, hit or fondle $5000?

My crystal ball is in the shop, but if silver settles down around $100 and gold hits $5,000, that is a 50:1 GSR which pretty much tracks what some experts are predicting.

And the money-printing continues apace.

Which means the price runup won't stop.

Once again gold surprises. Not that it hit $5,000 mind you, but that it did it so quickly. Jan 25 2026 is the date and it ain't slowing down much.

Its hard to fathom those little 1 oz coins of mine being worth so much for us old guys raised on the once mighty $USD. I remember when $3 bought you bus fare to and from Wrigley, a seat in the bleachers "and probably first row" and enough for your hot dog, coca cola, peanuts, cracker jacks, and score card left over. Back in '69 I probably went to 40 games with just the money I hustled with my push lawn mower. I remember the retired guys in the Grandstands, who never missed a game, sitting there with their Old Style and Schlitz beers, filling out score cards that they saved since the '20's. It was a hell of a time to be alive.

In '77 when I was over seas a $5 bill bought you a double from a 'ho with plenty left over for lunch to make for a relaxing day. Gold was about $140 back then. In 1970 it was about $35. "Had I only known". Back then the $USD in the 3'rd world was their main ticket to the dance. Hustle up enough from the Americans and they could deposit to the family "Bank" under the floor boards. That bank being gold. It was why 1st cousins married in these MidEast shitholes going back to antiquity. They wanted to always keep the wealth within the family, such as it was, and for the most part it was in gold jewelry.

Back before Chicago was taken over by "people of color" and food production by Davos Man.

And when entertainment venues were seen as places to ENTERTAIN THE PAYING PUBLIC - not to rip off, mistreat, gouge whoever was foolish enough to pay the ungodly ticket prices.

This was back when we were a A PEOPLE - not a bunch of rainbow Woke factions, each trying to destroy the others.
