You mean, the train - the California Zephyr - or the car, the Lincoln Zephyr?
Matters. To me, anyway.
I rode the Amtrak California Zephyr...a nod to the D&RGW service, not really deserving of the historical name.
I never saw a Lincoln Zephyr (V-12) anywhere but in old photos.
I don't know what else a zephyr is....

Reminds me of the words of Levi Strauss.

What made me think about "alluvial" was I was watching a video about ancient civilizations whose people used to find gold nuggets on top of the ground and in streams. That was before it became money.
Fascinating that in prehistory some dude was hunting and gathering and would pick up shiny yellow rocks, then melt them into beads and jewelry.
