NOW - LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell just shattered the “peaceful protester” narrative.

What’s happening in Los Angeles isn’t civil unrest—it’s urban warfare.

“They have weapons of all kinds.”

McDonnell said officers made several arrests during the citywide curfew—and what they discovered was alarming.

“We arrested a number of people last night for curfew violations, that I think 14 and 3 out of the 14 were armed with weapons, handguns.”

“And so when you look at that, what appears to be one thing is something very different.”

Backpacks weren’t just backpacks—they were mobile arsenals.

“We’ve seen in those backpacks that they’ll have hammers, they’ll break up curb stones and concrete bollards, break up into smaller pieces, which they’ll then throw at police.”

“They put them in backpacks and walk around like that.”

“I’ve seen somebody today walking around with golf balls in a backpack, so all sorts of weapons, all very potentially dangerous.”

Even the fireworks were modified to be more deadly.

“We’ve seen commercial grade fireworks being fired at our people, with shrapnel being put in, from what I’m told, into some of these packages.”

“Again, that is that is pretty scary stuff when you look at it.”

“Liquid being thrown on our officers.”

Despite the violence, McDonnell says his officers held the line with discipline.

“The attitude of our officers and the professionalism and restraint that they’ve shown is remarkable.”

“They’ve done a tremendous job out there and I’m very proud of them.”

Where is congress in all of this?

For years they've kicked the can down the road and used immigration as a talking point come election time. Once election time has come and gone it's nothing.

When are they actually come up with a plan and laws concerning this?

“The Democrats and the Republican’s have no interest in solving this problem [immigration] because they use that to raise money and so what they do is they just keep pointing the finger at each other and then they’re surprised if all of a sudden we are using our ‘middle finger’ on them.”

Personal observation...........

I live in a pretty diverse community. Whites, blacks, hispanics, christians, muslims, jews, etc. No problems that I've heard of. Well today I was out and about and noticed I hardly saw any hispanics. Not normal at all.

Glad I wasn't imagining things.

ICE Raids Have Sent Latino Shoppers Into Hiding and Big Brands Are Hurting

Coca-Cola has long looked to Hispanic consumers for sales growth—a group the company has said holds an annual $2.1 trillion in spending power.

Now Coke and other brands are discovering what it means to lose them.

Fear and uncertainty are driving changes in shopping behavior. The Trump administration’s sweeping deportations of immigrants living in the country illegally have made many Latinos—including those with legal status—fearful of being stopped by immigration officers. Many consumers say they are retreating from public life, forgoing their regular shopping trips and restaurant meals. Beyond deportation fears, job losses in industries like construction have left Hispanics with less money to spend. And inflation has squeezed their monthly budgets.

With the protests happening in different cities, the NG and some Marines activated in different cities, a massive 'no kings" protest coming up this weekend and a massive military parade scheduled for Saturday to honor T this has the makings for some crazy shit to happen.

Thoughts?????

The Media would never report this

Los Angeles, California: “I have been on the ground for the past 4 days. I just got back from the federal building. I was detained twice. The National Guard are not being deployed against US Citizens. The Marines are not being deployed against US Citizens.

They are being stationed at federal buildings across the country where riots are taking place. They do not leave the steps of those buildings. They do not touch the sidewalk. They are there as security for those buildings.

Those buildings are federal property. They are allowed to operate there. If you do not storm the Federal building and you do not attack the National Guard, you will not be attacked by the National Guard. They will not retaliate against you if you do not threaten them. And by threaten, I mean try to break their ranks.

I stood 2 inches from the National Guard today. They did nothing to me. I watched several other people who were protesters stand 2 inches from the National Guard today. They did nothing. If you do not try to enter the federal building, they will not do anything.

They are not allowed to operate in a law enforcement capacity because the cities that these buildings are in will not allow them to calm down and stop being stupid. I'm Cam Higby and I'm an investigative journalist. I cover protests around the country.”

On June 8, 2025, Christy Walton paid for a full-page ad in The New York Times, explicitly calling for mobilization on June 14 under the “No Kings” banner, a movement tied to nationwide anti-Trump protests. Her signature is reported to be on a $2.3 million check to the Times, drawn from her personal account at C&W Enterprises in Jackson, Wyoming, processed on June 7, 2025. So there are definitely some direct actions by her. Walton funnels cash through the Open Society Foundations (OSF), chaired by Alex Soros, with a $10 million grant approved on May 28, 2025, earmarked for “grassroots mobilization.” An analysis of OSF’s Belize server logs shows $3.2 million rerouted to local LA riot organizers, including CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights), active during the June 7 ICE raid clashes.

It was said that Walton uses Walmart’s logistics network to move untraceable cash $750,000 in small bills via Tijuana warehouses to riot leaders, a tactic mirroring her alleged 2019 opioid trafficking routes. Walmart’s HR records show a 15% uptick in undocumented worker hires since May 2025, with payroll deductions ($450,000) redirected to protest supplies, linking her labor exploitation to riot funding.

Her son, Lukas Walton, authorized a $4 million transfer from Builders Vision on June 6, 2025, to a shell NGO, “Freedom Alliance,” which booked rally permits in LA (e.g., Pershing Square, 532 S Olive St, 34.0500°N, 118.2517°W). Remote data confirms his email directive: “Ensure June 14 momentum. Her sister-in-law, Alice Walton, contributed $2.5 million via her Art Bridges foundation on June 4, 2025, to cover protester transportation, with bus rentals tracked to Greyhound depots in Arkansas and Texas

Federal deployment of Stingray technology aligns with lawful authority to combat organized threats—no different than using thermal imaging or license plate readers to track violent actors. The 2025 National Guard mobilization precedent (Title 10) confirms federal responsibility to secure operations when local systems fail. Critics crying "overreach" ignore that insurgents exploit weak points in cellular networks to coordinate attacks.

While privacy advocates push detection tools like Rayhunter, the real issue is criminal abuse of infrastructure—not lawful surveillance. Every intercepted plot or captured operative proves these systems work.

The alternative? Letting chaos reign while bureaucrats debate theoretical harms. Security isn’t optional—it’s the baseline for functional society.

Sen. Alex Padilla handcuffed after forced removal from DHS press conference

  • Police put Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., in handcuffs after forcibly removing him from a press conference being held by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
  • Padilla had entered the room and interrupted Noem as she was speaking about her department’s plans to continue deportation efforts in California.
  • Padilla’s office said that he is not currently being detained.
Police put Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., in handcuffs after forcibly removing him from a press conference being held by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Padilla had entered the room and interrupted Noem as she was speaking about her department’s plans to continue deportation efforts in California, even as the Trump administration’s recent immigration enforcement operations have stirred a wave of protests.

Padilla’s office said in a statement after the incident that he is not currently being detained.

But it was ok for JFK to use Alabama NG without going through Governor Wallace.

That, if nothing else, sets a precedent that trump is using.

He also did the same in '62

On September 30, 1962, President John F. Kennedy issued Executive Order 11053 to provide “assistance for the removal of unlawful obstructions of justice in the State of Mississippi” in relation to integration of the University of Mississippi.

The entire Mississippi National Guard (Army and Air) was placed on active federal service on the same day. The Mississippi National Guard called this period "Operation Rocky Road", while the United States Army called it the "Oxford Incident".

The Department of the Army published "The Role of the Army in the Oxford, Mississippi, Incident, 1962-1963", which includes the employment of Mississippi National Guard forces
.

In the "Oxford incident," the Mississippi Governor, Ross Barnett, did not request the deployment of the Mississippi National Guard. In fact, Governor Barnett initially resisted efforts to integrate the University of Mississippi, leading to the riot.

If it was ok for JFK to do it, it's ok for Trump to do it.

Trump keeps control of California National Guard for now after appeals court blocks order

  • A federal appeals court temporarily blocked a judge’s ruling that said President Donald Trump’s federalizing of California National Guard troops and deploying them to Los Angeles was “illegal,” and ordered him to return control of the Guard to Gov. Gavin Newsom.
  • Judge Charles Breyer stayed his order from taking effect until Friday to give the Trump administration time to appeal his decision, which it quickly did.
  • Trump federalized 4,000 National Guard troops and mobilized about 700 U.S. Marines to respond to protests in Los Angeles against federal immigration enforcement actions.
A federal appeals court late Thursday blocked a lower court judge’s order instructing President Donald Trump to return control of 4,000 California National Guard troops that he had federalized to Gov. Gavin Newsom.

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer had ruled that Trump’s action was “illegal,” but stayed his order from taking effect until 3 p.m. ET on Friday to allow the Trump administration to appeal his decision.

The administration promptly did just that, asking the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to block Breyer’s ruling from taking effect.

Was just a kid back then but I do remember those days.

Here's a little more on George Wallace for anyone interested.

Pope Leo's first US bishop takes action against Trump migrant crackdown

The first U.S. bishop appointed by Pope Leo XIV has called for priests, deacons and parish leaders to join them in accompanying migrants to court.

Rev. Michael Pham, who was named bishop of San Diego, California, by Pope Leo in May, wrote a letter about the action on Wednesday, along with Rev. Ramón Bejarano and Rev. Ramón Bejarano, both appointed by Pope Francis.

Some decades ago, I was considering the Army National Guard in California. (Didn't happen, their quack doctor disqualified me.) I remember one of the Sergeants talking about the enlistment oath, and he said that the enlisted men took an oath to the state governor, and the officers took an oath to the US president.

So I asked him what happens if the governor and the president give conflicting or opposite orders?
Sarge could not (would not) give me a clear answer.

"I Can't Believe It's Actually Happening... | Victor Davis Hanson"

In this video, Hanson dissects how progressive policies have led to California’s decline, from rising crime and homelessness to unchecked bureaucratic overreach. He argues that Gavin Newsom embodies the contradictions of the modern left—promoting equity while presiding over growing inequality, and pushing climate agendas while benefiting from elite privilege. Hanson illustrates how California, once a symbol of American opportunity, has become a cautionary tale under one-party rule. Ultimately, he contends that the state’s dysfunction reveals the dangerous consequences of ideology-driven leadership disconnected from everyday reality. Victor Davis Hanson exposes the left’s hypocrisy in their governance of California and their support for Gavin Newsom.

The question is, did JFK get Wallace's permission to send in the NG? If not, Trump doesn't need Gavin's permission either.
