^^^^ I watched the video between Patel and Booker and I have no idea what the issue was, or who was right. But I am in favor of argument between people in government. In a system with honest representation, I would strongly favor that they use cordial manners. But that is rarely the case in history. So I favor combat. It must be truthful. But the loser must accept the consequences of his/her faults. And I especially applaud the destruction of anyone involved in corruption.

Pennsylvania’s state budget is nearly 3 months late. Leaders still can’t agree on the basics.

HARRISBURG — Despite the contentious issue of mass transit funding being off the table, top Pennsylvania legislative leaders are still unable to agree on the most basic question when it comes to state budget negotiations: how much money they should spend.

The state’s cooling financial outlook — plus federal uncertainty and required increases to Medicaid spending — has leaders still at odds and growing increasingly frustrated over how much state money they should budget for the new fiscal year, which began more than 2½ months ago and has left state payments to essential services in limbo.

FDA to approve drug to treat autism symptoms

The Food and Drug Administration plans to approve a new use for the generic drug leucovorin in the coming weeks to treat kids with “cerebral folate deficiency and autistic symptoms,” according to a POLITICO Magazine opinion piece by federal health leaders published on Monday.

The officials – FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, National Institutes for Health Director Jay Bhattacharya and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Mehmet Oz – pointed to research they say suggests leucovorin, also known as folinic acid, may help children who are deficient in folate, a vitamin. They said there was evidence leucovorin, which is currently used to treat cancer and anemia patients, can help children with autism improve their verbal communication. But they emphasized in the opinion piece that the drug “is not a cure for autism.”
