  • President Donald Trump reported $59.5 million in foreign real estate licensing income in 2025, up 71% from 2024 and nearly tenfold from 2023, a CNBC analysis of his financial disclosure found.
  • Nearly two-thirds came from Gulf projects, including $25.8 million tied to Saudi Arabia’s Dar Al Arkan and its subsidiaries and $11.3 million connected to Dubai-based Emirati developer Damac.
  • Some developers licensing the Trump name were also seeking U.S. investments, government approvals or favorable relations, while some projects depended on foreign state-owned land, investment or partners.
  • Ethics watchdogs said the deals create conflicts between Trump’s political leadership role and private interests, while legal experts raised unresolved Foreign Emoluments Clause questions.
  • The White House said “the only special interest guiding” Trump’s decisions is “the best interest of the American people.” CNBC found no evidence that the payments influenced administration decisions or resulted in special treatment.
