A tisket a tasket is Trump the one who packed the basket?

A tisket a tasket is Trump the one who packed the basket?

Wonder how this will end?
This reads like they're making it up:

"The revelation that Donald Trump himself reportedly packed the initial 15 boxes returned to the National Archives that ignited a criminal Justice Department probe could strengthen the government’s case should it choose to prosecute the former president, legal experts said Tuesday."
"The detail was included in Monday reporting from The Washington Post on how one of Trump’s attorneys, Alex Cannon, refused to comply with a request from Trump that he certify that all the government documents stored at Mar-a-Lago had been returned."

This says 'rumor' to me especially from the WaPo...

The case has no legs because they're "implying he stole" the docs. He had a standing order that he declassified everything in his possession.

I'm wondering if it will playout in a televised trial.

Be very interesting to hear Trump actually have to explain how he declassified the files, where the proof of declassification is, why he had the stuff in Florida, what he was doing with it, what was in the empty folders and what happened to the contents of the empty folders.

Could the next step be a complete search of all Trump properties? Maybe dig up Ivana's grave at Bedminster?

Imagine digging up Bedminster and finding not just more documents but a treasure trove of all sorts incriminating, and compromising vids / papers used to black mail certain repubs into supporting Trump. All caught on live tv.

They'll do whatever they think it'll take to finally punish him for having beat their hag. Been dogging him with lies and false accusations for 7 years now.
At this point, why should we expect anything else?

Man, that'd be a TDS sufferers wet dream! Lol

They could do that, but the optics wouldn't look good.

He's suing - how do you enter in evidence? Discovery....!

WASHINGTON — The special master reviewing materials seized by the F.B.I. from former President Donald J. Trump’s compound in Florida expressed skepticism on Tuesday about early claims by Mr. Trump’s lawyers that certain documents were privileged and thus could be withheld from a Justice Department investigation.

In a phone conference, the special master, Judge Raymond J. Dearie of Federal District Court in Brooklyn, complained that the log of an initial batch of documents over which Mr. Trump is seeking to claim privilege lacked sufficient information to determine whether the arguments were valid.

Judge Dearie encouraged Mr. Trump’s lawyers to give him a better sense of why they believed the documents could be lawfully shielded from the Justice Department’s inquiry into whether Mr. Trump unlawfully kept classified records at his estate and obstructed the government’s repeated efforts to retrieve them.

A POTUS can declare anything as unclassified. This judge can't change that from the bench.

Just an update on the continuing show. Nothing concrete yet.

Judge Raymond Dearie issued a new order that he intends to consult with the National Archives — precisely what Trump unlawfully failed to do —in connection with how he should handle the remaining stolen documents as part of his review. This spells trouble for Trump. MeidasTouch host Ben Meiselas breaks it down.

14 minutes.

Your bias is showing. Stolen? You seem to be forgetting that the cic has ultimate authority over classification/declassification. So it is not a fact that anything has actually been stolen.

Also, to steal something means to deprive the actual owner use and benefit of the thing stolen.

I have no doubt that the gov has copies of anything your president Trump took with him. So the gov has, in all likelyhood, not been "deprived" of anything.

Not my bias ( pretty sure you already know that.) This is a thread I plan on following to what-ever outcome there is at the end of the investigation. The post above was simply an update as I stated:

Anything you read after the above comes directly from Meidas Touch. Not me. When it comes to Trump I usually keep my opinions to myself. Pretty sure no one wants to hear what I think about him.

Did you vote yet?

I hired Trump to MC my favorite charity. "Tears for mah TEA"

acause there ain't no sweeter tea tha that brewed with commie tears

I'm still getting my money's worth.

Now we have Musk on the troll. Make no mistake, he's seen through the communists deception yet at the same time he is still a "Taxes for thee, not for me" socialist.

The dims are still begging for amnesty and "forgive and forget". They "deserve it".

They deserve to shit in their pants whilst doing a short rope dance.

That's not even close to true. The line in the article they use to put words into his mouth does not say that he said he stole anything.

They knew he had what he had, otherwise how could they know to ask for any of it back? To "steal" means to not let those stolen from, know what you took.

But it's the last line Trump wrote that will likely be one people remember forever: "they took with them, but not nearly so openly and transparently as I did?"

Exactly. Where is the outrage when obozo "took" stuff? Or the Clintons when they did? They "took" whatever tf they wanted.

Do you think he'll be indicted?

If they do, it'll be on Trumped up charges.

Still waiting for anyone to explain what he did as potus that was so terrible that he must be destroyed for having done.

Economy was going great and America was doing better, but the loony left can't allow that to continue.

The only wrong during his Presidency was the left's four year long temper tantrum after he won the election. They been gunnin' for him ever since on one Trumped up allegation after another. None have stuck.

How many others in DC could survive a 3 year $35 million dollar investigation into everything they might've done over the past Decade? Probably very few, but Trump did.

Exactly. The only reason they go after him is because

1. He can't be bought.
2. He's an outsider.

A panel of judges on the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Thursday to overturn the appointment of a special master tasked with reviewing thousands of documents seized by the FBI from former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate this summer.

This is a developing story. Please return for updates.

Justice Department asks judge to hold Trump team in contempt over Mar-a-Lago case

Story by Spencer Hsu, Josh Dawsey, Jacqueline Alemany, Devlin Barrett, Rosalind Helderman • 1h ago

Prosecutors have urged a federal judge to hold Donald Trump’s office in contempt of court for failing to fully comply with a May subpoena to return all classified documents in his possession, according to people familiar with the matter — a sign of how contentious the private talks have become over whether the former president still holds any secret papers.

In recent days, Justice Department lawyers have asked U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell to hold Trump’s office in contempt, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sealed court proceedings. But the judge has not yet held a hearing or ruled on the request, they said.

The request came after months of mounting frustration from the Justice Department with Trump’s team — frustration that spiked in June after the former president’s lawyers provided assurances that a diligent search had been conducted for classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago Club and residence. But the FBI amassed evidence suggesting — and later confirmed through a court-authorized search — that many more remained.

"Breakdown in trust": Expert says judge's order suggests DOJ suspects Trump has more classified docs

Story by Igor Derysh • 2h ago

A federal judge on Wednesday ordered former President Donald Trump's lawyers to turn over names of private investigators who searched Trump's properties last month for additional classified documents, according to The New York Times.

Chief Judge Beryl Howell of the Federal District Court in Washington issued an order siding with the Justice Department, which is looking to question the investigators about the search.

The November search, which turned up at least two additional documents marked classified at a storage unit near Mar-a-Lago, was conducted months after the FBI seized about 100 documents marked classified from the president's residence in August.

A top DOJ official told Trump's lawyers in October that the department believed the former president still had classified materials. Trump's attorneys had previously affirmed that the former president had returned all classified documents last summer before investigators found the additional materials.

Staff Had To Constantly Stop Trump From Sharing Classified Intel With His Friends

Jan 17, 2023

Donald Trump's former Chief of Staff, General John Kelly, told author Michael Schmidt that he had to repeatedly warn Trump while in office that he wasn't allowed to share classified intelligence with his friends. According to Schmidt, Kelly was constantly worried that Trump was going to endanger national security by sharing sensitive information that wasn't allowed to be shared, raising even more problems about the classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago. Exclusive: Special Counsel has questioned several officials about Donald Trump's handling of Russia probe papers.

On the eve of Donald Trump’s last day in office as President, Trump sent a memo to his attorney general, and also the directors of National Intelligence and the CIA, directing them to declassify thousands of pages of highly classified government papers pertaining to the FBI’s investigation into the Russian Federation’s covert intervention into the 2016 US presidential election to help elect Trump and defeat Hillary Clinton.

But Trump was stymied in his efforts to make the records public, leading the outgoing president to rage to aides that the documents would never see the light of day.

Michael Cohen Says Trump Would Sell Classified Info for ‘Can of Tuna’ and Maybe Already Has

Michael Cohen predicted his ex-client Donald Trump will be indicted soon as the former president faces mounting legal challenges. The disbarred lawyer also predicted Trump might sell classified information if indicted and therefore would need to be kept on “very strict home confinement.”

It's nice to see someone focused, with a good memory, paying attention.

Donald Trump is going to(and has been) change(ing) the future way of handling many things in the political sphere. A real president setting a precedent for centuries to come.

We are building up to (in the midst of) something of Biblical proportions.

The size and scope of the war going on right now is unprecedented.

The swamp creatures, their plans and playbooks, have been increasingly, systematically publicized over social media.

WE ARE THE NEWS NOW

The Twitter sphere, YouTube, Facecrook etc have been freaking out over the truth coming to light.

They have been in a PANIC trying to maintain control whilst carryong out their previously made plans, only to stumble every step of the way.

It ain't pretty and it sure ain't easy but rest assured, true patriots and people of conscience are gradually taking control away from the evil elements that have more lust than brains.

I understand that the courts have shut down the special master that Trump has requested. I also understand that Biden has sent his lawyers in to see what see what he has in his garage and other areas of his property. But I understand that someone (maybe Biden himself) has given instructions that the lawyers can see but not read (????) any classified document that they come across. What kind of idiorocracy do we have, especially the idiots that are sending out these idiots out. They can look at classified documents but not read them. The seems to be an impaired moron in charge. If Trump had done something like this him and his lawyers would be up on serious breaches of intelligence which the Biden lawyers don't seem to have.

There is a serious case of Trump mania floating around the White House and other locations. There appears to be no rule law that applies to Trump but only to China Brandon. Cohen is shrill and a know nothing but has a big mouth like a gag grouper.

The Twitter sphere, YouTube, Facecrook etc have been freaking out over the truth coming to light.

Freaking out or capitalizing on it?

Trump is mostly gone from the local news but still going strong online. You can't go online and check out any major news feeds without him being there. And it's mostly stuff that paints him in a bad light unless you're on a right wing / conspiracy site. News about the guy sells.

On one hand it's like the British tabloids, the National Inquirer and National Tattler all rolled into one. And they're making some $$$$.

On the other hand it's "save America (save Trump)", "onward christian soldiers" and maga (really mmga) and they're making $$$$.

And in the background life goes on.
