No way. The only way to top putting a dementia patient, who never left his basement, in office is to put his VP in office to fill his space. She can't put 2 sentences together and is the most unpopular politician of all time. In the 2020 primaries she couldn't get 1 vote. What better candidate to run right? So Kamala is losing?
I think there will likely be a short lived reaction (high volatility) that reverts to the mean in a week or so (no matter who wins).
I think that the two assholes do have some substantive differences in foreign policy, fiscal policy and monetary policy that could effect domestic markets, international trade and the plans of foreign nations/central banks. Trump is talking a big game about cutting domestic spending with Elon Musk in a cabinet role (and possible bringing in Ron Paul to assist!), but it remains to be seen how serious the rhetoric is. Cutting spending is really the only issue that matters with respect to monetary inflation. If Trump wins and succeeds, US might get some Milei style austerity that will hurt the domestic economy short term, but be healthy long term (and thus limit the upside for PMs). If Kamala wins, spending is likely to run unchecked which will be great for PMs until the system craters and then things won't be so great for anyone. $.02
That's pretty tame as far as electioneering goes. Still needs to be resolved of course, but I doubt it affects anyone's votes.
True but can you imagine the outrage that would come from the left if Trump materials were present?
A fight erupted at an early voting location in South Carolina when a supporter of former President Donald Trump refused to take off their "Make America Great Again" hat.
The incident saw the Trump supporter fight with poll workers who asked him to take off the hat in Orangeburg County, in line with state rules restricting the portrayal of campaign promotions within polling stations.
In clips of the altercation that quickly went viral on social media, the disgruntled voter can be heard calling a poll worker who explained the rule to him a "f****** b****", before gesturing to his cap and saying, "this is my m******** right, right here."
The voter then took off his cap and threw it out of the voting area, before tapping one of the poll workers on the head, prompting them to slap him in return.
The conflict escalated as the voter began following the worker around the room, with other staff intervening to separate the two people. The voter was then escorted out of the building.
...
It sort of happened already, but it was the MAGA voter that got violent when the Dem poll worker tried to address the electioneering:
