We smoked NV's entire air defense network during the Linebackers until they were totally at our mercy.
Relatively few were shot down by enemy forces. And we smoked North Vietnam in the process driving them to the peace table. We could smoke I-ran now too if the Arabs were willing to take the hits in return. As it stands I-ran is getting its ass kicked but nothing like Iraq did. One week of bombing their electric grid, their transportation/communications network, their oil production assets....ect would force them to the table for real.
Instead were playing the long game and relying on the oil blockade "which we never should have stopped" and once we start forcing those oil pumps to shut down because they have no place to store the oil then its just as good as bombing them. Oil infrastructure forced to stop are pumps that will most likely never pump again. Even they understand this.
