Iran issues warning to 'gambler' Trump: We will end this war

By Parisa Hafezi, Phil Stewart and Maayan Lubell

ISTANBUL/WASHINGTON/JERUSALEM (Reuters) -Iran said on Monday that the U.S. attack on its nuclear sites expanded the range of legitimate targets for its armed forces and called U.S. President Donald Trump a "gambler" for joining Israel's military campaign against the Islamic Republic.

Since Trump joined Israel's campaign by dropping massive bunker-buster bombs on Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday morning, Iran has repeatedly threatened to retaliate.

Russia's former president says countries are lining up to give Iran their nukes. Analysts are calling his bluff.

  • Russia's former president, a top Putin aide, slammed the US for its strikes on Iran's nuclear site.
  • Among other claims, Dmitry Medvedev said other countries were ready to give their nukes to Iran.
  • Nuclear analysts told BI that Medvedev's claim was logistically and politically ridiculous.
Analysts are casting doubt on Russia's former president's claim that "a number of countries" were considering supplying nuclear warheads to Iran after the Pentagon's salvo of bunker-buster strikes there.

If other countries allowed the proliferation of nukes to Iran the US would immediately place them next to those countries. I think Russia and China might be upset about losing easy access to Iran.

Russia very recently signed a treaty with Iran strengthening their ties.
The Iranian–Russian Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership signed on 17 January 2025, by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, is a treaty for the improvement of ties between the two nations. This treaty aims to expand economic cooperation, mitigate the impact of US sanctions, and strengthen military and political partnerships. The agreement is designed to govern relations between Russia and Iran for the next 20 years, covering various areas including defense, counter-terrorism, energy, finance, and culture. The treaty consists of 47 articles addressing cooperation in technology, information and cybersecurity, peaceful nuclear energy collaboration, counterterrorism efforts, regional cooperation, environmental issues, and combating money laundering and organized crime.[1][2][3] The Russian State Duma ratified the treaty on 8 April,[4] and the Federation Council on 16 April.[5] Vladimir Putin signed the treaty into law on 21 April.[6] The Iranian Parliament ratified the treaty on 21 May,[7] and the Guardian Council on 11 June.[8]

It's not quite a mutual defense pact, but it's not that far off either.

Attack on base in Qatar was coordinated between Iranians & Qatar from what I'm hearing. Base hit by 3 missiles.

And the propaganda machine will say we have been attacked and now must escalate this conflict from a 1 time bombing to eliminate the nuke threat to a campaign for as long as it takes to rid the world of this evil threat.
Of course the evil threat never attacked anyone until they themselves were attacked. Like most other countries in the ME they just want to be left alone but they have way to much oil for that to happen.

Breaking news is that Iran has launched missile attacks on US bases in Iraq and Qatar. Looks like things will escalate.
Yes, but our attack on them was fakish...won't surprise me if they don't hit anything and both sides have saved face.

^^^^^
Possibility this may not be true. All sorts of crazy news stories right now. What the hell.............c'mon get your facts straight news peeps.

Iran may have agreed to a ceasefire with America and Donnie boy lied about israel...nothing about Gaza concerns me.

Change of leadership in Iran by the weekend?

I like dreamers...Iran has plenty of mountains and caves. Once Iran rebuilds the bunker labs much, much deeper thanks to our help, the Uranium will show up.
Hell, we might have bombed the decoy sites...

If we.bombed the decoy site Tel Aviv would be glowing already.

If we.bombed the decoy site Tel Aviv would be glowing already.
Why, Iran never had nuke weapons, if they did, they could have used in the days before the bombing...They have their nukes stuff, no need to rock the boat now that the nuke inspections are over.

And the UK used up quite a few missiles too, but Israel still wants that fight if she can hide behind usa...
