Looks like I was wrong. Good thing I slept through the morning yesterday.S&P and QQQ is where my bets are going.
They all thought they'd get a boost from all the others, and started coasting. The EU is like a socialist union formed by workers who are useless.
Generally, productive people benefit from trade with other productive people. This does not need government intervention. It happens naturally. They do not need an administrative umbrella. And conversions between currencies was never a problem. Even the worst pirates at the train stations only took a couple percent. (I remember Deek Perera as a major player in that scam.)
If all of the European countries looked after their own interests, as they (I expect) did before the EU, how would they be worse off? Or to twist the story around, I question, "HOW EXACTLY ARE THE EU PARTICIPANTS BENEFITING FROM THE EU DEAL?" Did Greece benefit?! I think NOT! They were tricked into losing huge national assets. Did France benefit?! Did Italy?! Did Germany?!
Okay, who exactly DID benefit from the creation of the EU?!
Iran Crumbles, Critics Scramble: Trump’s Long Game Leaves the Media Exposed | Victor Davis Hanson
We don't know what the ultimate prognosis of this war is, but if we take the long view, it's far more favorable to our interests than it is to our enemies.
The media’s 24-hour ragebait cycle can’t explain what’s actually unfolding in Iran. While critics swing wildly between calling Trump a “warmonger” and “weak,” the reality points to a regime that’s been militarily and strategically crippled.
Meanwhile, adversaries like Russia and China are feeling the ripple effects, and NATO’s cracks are on full display.
The long view tells a very different story—and it’s one the headlines won’t admit, argues Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words.”
