Trump announced all the Iranian sea mines were gone, gas prices should collapse any day now...
Yup.

Because it's all manipulated. And controlled by the algos.

The algos see buzzwords in the nooze feeds, they react by dumping or panic-buying, as programmed.

It's so GD obvious, it's apparent they don't even care that we know, anymore.

It's been $3.65 for awhile now, but I saw $3.56 last night.

If things were even half as bad as the detractors would have us believe, gas would be going up. Not staying the same or going slightly lower.

We had over $5 gas during Biden's term and it was downplayed.

Now we got actual shooting going on over there and gas is under $4?

Seems like it's being blown out of proportion to me.

That's the same logic as, "The stawk markets are going up, so everything must be AWESOME!!"

That overlooks a few (a lot of) critical factors.

Yea, like the factor of Iran having nukes.
....and yea, I know the, "but they been sayin' that for years", trope.

The IAEA said they were 6 months to at most a year from having them. I don't know 'bout you, but in my World, 6 months from having nukes is the definition of "imminent".

They've been six months from having them for forty years.

About as long as the Republicans were going to balance the "next" budget.
It was never "they are 6 months from having a nuke". It was "they are working towards it".

The IAEA draws a sharp distinction between having the necessary raw materials and actually building a deployable weapon:

The Fissile Material (Days to Weeks away): According to the IAEA's baseline metrics before recent military strikes, Iran's "breakout time"—the time needed to enrich its existing 60% uranium stockpile to the 90% weapons-grade threshold—was close to zero, likely a matter of days or a week.

The Weaponization Process (Months to a Year away):

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi explicitly denied that Iran was "days or weeks away from building a bomb". The IAEA reports that Iran still lacks a viable nuclear weapon design, a tested explosive detonation system, and the metallurgy experience required to cast uranium into a missile warhead. Security analysts estimate this weaponization process would take nine months to a full year

They've never been so close.

Trump moved when he did because there wasn't 6 months to year to be able to wait.

"That novel coronavirus represents an existential threat towards all humanity. And with Project Warp Speed, we can beat it. But none of us are safe unless all of us are vaccinated."

How many of their lies am I expected to believe?

I'm just looking at what the most recent IAEA report said.

It would explain why Trump didn't wait until after the election to do this. He didn't think we had a year to put it off.

A lotta peeps against all of it, use the IAEA report to say they don't have one. Yes currently that is true, but they skip the "6 months to a year" part of the report.

I have no way of knowing if its true or not, but it's all we have to go by.

  • The U.S. has held off on extending significant secondary sanctions under “economic D-Day” after China’s retaliation threat.

Note: This a short vid in which Rachael Maddow brings up Heggie (and T's) lack of foresight in starting the war with Iran.

🚨 BOOM! Pete Hegseth just CALLED OUT the media: "These cameras have a choice. You either inform the American people of the truth or your are not."

"Here is a fact you don't hear on the networks that we know."

"Many of the Iranian military factories and bases that we are destroying were paid for by the pallets of American cash that Barack Obama flew into the Tehran under the Iran deal. You might call it an inconvenient truth."

"Iran took our money and turned it into weapons, bunker, ammo. Now we're destroying the weapons and you are righting that grievous wrong. Make no mistake, we had to act. Objectives clear. No nukes, no Navy, complete dismantling of the missile program and defense industrial base."

"We're here to win and we are full speed ahead."

WINNING!

I do not dispute this.
"Iran took our money and turned it into weapons, bunker, ammo.
I do not dispute this. But they also had a huge income from selling their oil. This income seems to not benefit their citizens and rather expand their offensive military capability.

I oppose the military junta in Iran in 1942 (?) and the west installing the Shah as a dictator.

The 1979 revolution was even worse. Did the DS choose the Aytatollah or did they just lose grasp of their project?

That's the same logic as, "The stawk markets are going up, so everything must be AWESOME!!"

That overlooks a few (a lot of) critical factors.

It just seems like if it were truly going as badly as some are saying, that it would be reflected in the price of oil and gas.

If we could have told virtually anyone a year ago that in one year there would be war in the Persian Gulf and that the average US gas price would be $4.10 per gallon, they'd have called us cRaZy.

Heck, I woulda called us cRaZy too. I am amazed it isn't, and didn't go higher than it has.

It was $3.19 a year ago. Up today by merely .90 cents.

Personally, I don't really care a whole lot if gas is $2.50, or $5.00, or the current $3.65 I saw about 45 minutes ago.
.....but I realize a lot of others do. I'm just sayin' it's not nearly as bad as it coulda been.
