American oligarchs have always known that their “warnings” about making people “dependent on government” and/or “lazy” were scams. With new Universal Basic Income (UBI) experiments, cities across America (and around the world) are proving how wrong the old Republican canard really is. Let’s put it to bed once & for all and start working out innovative ways for government to help low-income working people rise above poverty.

Let's just deny reality. Our experience with "welfare" for example.

Give people money without work, and they become dependent on the money and unwilling to work. That's all.

I guess we're going to go right into the cesspool of monetary collapse, denying obvious, proven reality to the end.

And giving money without productive effort to earn it, simply inflates the currency.

In a system that is stable, money is "stored work units." You work all week, get paid money, and take that money to the grocer. Paying for the eggs and hamburger, is the buyer's way of answering the question: "How have you served, that you deserve this food?"

Money without work is a claim on those eggs and ham, with no effort put in. What happens is more money chasing the same, or even less, foodstuffs (or whatever) and prices rise.

And then the same idiots will bleat about "greedy grocers." Because economic illiteracy is now nearly-universal, also.

Judge orders St. Louis to stop guaranteed basic income payments​

(The Center Square) – A judge ordered the City of St. Louis to stop its guaranteed basic income program, possibly marking the first time a court granted an injunction to stop payments.

St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Joseph Whyte ordered St. Louis Comptroller Darlene Green, Treasurer Adam Layne and Mayor Tishaura Jones to immediately stop making any deposits to financial institutions for funding the project, except for administrative costs, and stop all payments to private individuals under the program.

I'm going to need 4500 a month. Have you seen the prices on Cuban cigars lately? Seems like customs confiscation rates are up as well. Had one stolen by customs not long ago. 11 million can come across our southern border illegally. Billions in tax payer costs to support them and that's all ok.
Biden can send terrorists 250 million illegally and that's all ok. But buy a box of cigars and customs is all over it.

Now that I think about it I am going to need 10k per month.
