My Life Will Never be the Same...

Dec 30, 2025
Christmas Eve 10 years ago I was blacked out drunk at a local dive bar in New Jersey with absolutely no one thinking about me being able to make a living from surfing. Sadly, I wasn't even thinking that was a possibility. Well, here I am, ten years later after getting sober, putting my head down & making something out of my life. This is our opportunity, PLEASE take it. FOR THE DREAM! - Love Ben

Dry January started with 1 person years ago – now its a phenom

The start of January often feels like an opportunity for a clean slate, and for many people that means cutting out alcohol for the month, a challenge widely known as Dry January.

What started as a personal experiment for one person in the U.K. has now grown into a global phenomenon. And it's one that researchers say can offer real health benefits. For others, it's the turning point to life-altering change that lasts beyond 31 days.

For Amanda Kuda, that change began nine years ago. She had gone out on December 30, and woke up the next day with a ferocious hangover.

Big Alcohol & Big Pharma - Partners in Chaos? - Habits Unplugged

Jan 4, 2026 #BigPharma #AlcoholFree #BigAlcohol
Ever come across the idea that Big Alcohol and Big Pharma are somehow working together — one creating problems, the other profiting from the fallout? It's a view that shows up a lot in comments and conversations.
On the surface, it makes sense: we all know that dysfunction can be big business. But what if leaning too hard into that story actually hands away the one thing we need most to change?
We’ll look at where this idea comes from, why it feels convincing, and most importantly — why taking back control starts with something much closer to home than corporate conspiracies.

As far as the Deep State goes, they are.

They closed the local restaurants, gyms, parks, for the Worst-Virus-Ever...but liquor stores (and pot dispensaries) stayed open.

You tell me.

I AM 10 YEARS SOBER..TODAY!

Feb 4, 2026 #hospicenursejulie #endoflife #hospice
Ten years ago today, I woke up hungover for the last time. That morning changed everything. In this video, I’m sharing my full sobriety story. I talk about what my drinking looked like from my teenage years through my career as a hospice nurse, how addiction can exist even when life looks successful from the outside, and the moment that finally made me stop drinking.
I also share something people don’t talk about enough. Quitting alcohol didn’t magically fix my life. I stayed sober for 11 months and felt miserable, anxious, and lost. I almost started drinking again. What changed next is what helped me build the sober life I have today.
This video is for anyone who is questioning their relationship with alcohol, anyone supporting someone struggling with addiction, or anyone curious about what long-term sobriety actually looks like. I share my personal experience with recovery, how a 12-step program helped me, and what life has been like over the past decade learning how to live, have fun, and feel free without substances.
Sobriety looks different for everyone. This is simply my story and what worked for me. If you are struggling, you are not alone, and change is possible.
