I like the thread reader app because it updates when more tweets have been posted to a thread. She did post more. The last one at 2:27pm (tweet #46 in the thread). I updated the number of tweets to 47 in my post above (#128).

(CNN)Twitter's former head of trust and safety has fled his home due to an escalation in threats resulting from Elon Musk's campaign of criticism against him, a person familiar with the matter told CNN on Monday.

Yoel Roth, who resigned from the social media company in November, has in recent weeks faced a storm of attacks and threats of violence following the release of the so-called "Twitter Files" — internal Twitter communications that new owner Musk has released through journalists including Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss.

Roth's position involved him working on sensitive issues including the suspension of then-President Donald Trump's account in 2021.

The University of Pennsylvania temporarily blocked a doctoral dissertation from Twitter’s former head of safety, Yoel Roth, after new Twitter CEO Elon Musk tweeted about it.

On Saturday afternoon, Musk tweeted about Roth’s 2016 dissertation at the University of Pennsylvania, titled, "Gay Data," which suggested ways to improve the LGBTQ dating app Grindr. Musk highlighted Roth’s argument on Page 248, in which Roth suggested that sites like Grindr should consider "crafting safety strategies that can accommodate a wide variety of use cases," including for young adults.

"Looks like Yoel is arguing in favor of children being able to access adult Internet services in his PhD thesis," Musk tweeted.

1. I have obtained exclusive access to documents that have never been publicly revealed. The information I am about to share with you has never been released. This information is of public concern and the below thread includes my reporting on it.
2. I have thought long and hard about whether I should release this information. Ultimately, the public has a right to this information. Therefore, I am releasing it to you, despite my deep concerns about what this means and the possible implications.
3. Unlike the other writers involved in reporting on The Twitter Files, I do not have access to any direct information from Twitter. My information is from a direct source. I do not have the same level of legal protection these other writers have. I am taking the risk anyway.
4. I have never been focused on people or personalities. That type of reporting bores me and does nothing to help people understand the truth. I am focused on data.Therefore, decided to find the data on my own. What I found was shocking.
5. I have received two separate files with thousands of data cells. I will only be releasing a small portion of it and still have a lot to go through. It is important to understand the context of the information.
6. I will not be sharing the tweets that accompany the detection / flagging list for the parameters I am about to share to protect the privacy of those mentioned in them and the original accounts who posted the information.

This is the free, shareable version of a podcast Matt Taibbi posted on his substack this evening.

 
Musk is dribbling out the information using independent journalists almost looks like a prosecutor laying out a RICO conspiracy against the Twitter 1.0 employees and government officials. I think each new release will have more and more harder evidence of malfeasance.

Already Musk has mentioned that Twitter managers and board directors misled advertisers, shareholders and lied before congress about inflated usage numbers from bots and this will be featured in a future release. This alone will allow him to pursue the former principals for clawbacks but more importantly the discovery process that will shake loose more damaging information. Information that many in power don’t want known.

Musk is becoming the ultimate red pill that will cost many people more than money. Many government officials who worked with Twitter will be sacrificed by their bosses in an effort to save themselves.

Remember that in RICO prosecutions the burden of proof is lowered quite dramatically preventing many of the guilty from slipping away due to loopholes.

Musk isn’t doing this for cheap publicity. He doesn’t need it. I think this is partly tied to his estranged transitioning kid. This is personal.
