Wonder how much this'll cost?

In money? Probably not much for actual infrastructure costs. Probably a lot in skimming/graft. Printer goes brrrt
In geopolitical capital? It seems we don't care - we're forging our own path
In strategic value? We just neutered one of the biggest backdoor threats in our hemisphere - how do you measure that value?

A Venezuelan security guard for Maduro warns against fighting Americans describing the U.S. raid: 20 men with superior tech disabled radars, downed drones, and killed hundreds unharmed. They fired 300 rounds/min and used a sonic weapon causing instant bleeding and incapacitation. Trump says Mexico, you’re on the list too. Don’t FAFO, America is NOT one to mess with!

Portland Police @ChiefBobDay cries at a press conference after having to affirm that @DHSgov was correct in stating that the illegal Venezuelan migrants accused of trying to run down Border Patrol have ties to Tren de Aragua. Chief Day admitted that he hesitated to share the truth with the public.

On Jan. 8, Border Patrol non-fatally shot a man and a woman in east Portland after they allegedly tried to run down agents in a red pickup truck following a targeted stop. Internal communications about the incident, which was inaccurately blamed on ICE, were leaked to PDX ICE Watch by a Multnomah County first responder.

The entire city and state leadership, all run by Democrats, organized an emergency press conference to condemn the federal agents, reject DHS' statement and to express support with the violent suspects, who they called the "victims." Local and national media also misled the public about the shooting. A mob showed up to try to attack the ICE facility, leading to six arrests. Massie isn't wrong. Thats how the government works though. One step at a time. Remember back when Americans were upset that we have Chrysler a loan. It was just them and just a one time deal to help them out through a tough time. Now the fed gov throws money around to every corp and business that asks for it. So that one illegal act of kindness has resulted in what we have today. Almost every aspect of the economy is managed to it's detriment.

Or how about Nixon temporarily taking us off the gold standard. Or after 9/11 the Patriot act being put in place and although it was illegal it was to keep Americans safe. It would expire in 4 years but has now been renewed every single time it is about to expire. To the point where we now have plantar grabbing every bit of data so they know us better than we know ourselves.

One day we will wake up and wonder how this all happened. Gradually and over time.

Johnson stealing the silver money AND covering up for israel and the uss liberty...

Now that Trump runs the place he needs to get on the phone with China and demand a refund for all the weapons they sold Venezuela that didn't work. LOL.

Somewhat related but on a different line. It's a vid about some history between the U.S. and Venezuela. Towards the end the narrator talks about modern day history. If you're a history buff it's pretty good, imo.

I posted this in the contrarian news thread a short while ago.

After the post above I came across this.

Donald Trump promises "very hard" land strikes in Latin America

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he plans to launch “very hard” land strikes in Latin America as part of his administration’s effort to curb drug trafficking, arguing that earlier maritime operations have sharply reduced the flow of fentanyl and other narcotics into the United States.

Speaking in an interview with Fox Business host Larry Kudlow, Trump said his administration initially focused on disrupting drug shipments at sea, claiming those efforts reduced drug flows by roughly one-third. He said the strategy is now shifting to land-based operations to prevent traffickers from adapting by rerouting shipments.

“Now we’re going to start on land,” Trump said, arguing that hitting trafficking networks on land would stop smugglers from simply moving operations back to boats.

If this does go down will it be to deflect from the Epstein Files and the ICE insanity? And will it be done with the permission of the countries the attacks will occur in? What about collateral damage? How about our standing in the world?

U.S. Conducts Strikes in Eastern Pacific, Caribbean, Killing 6

The U.S. struck a vessel allegedly carrying narcotics on Monday, U.S. Southern Command announced in a post on the social media site X.

Three men were killed in the strike, bringing the total number of deaths from Operation Southern Spear to at least 141. There have been strikes that left survivors, and updates on search and rescue efforts have been irregular.

The strike was conducted in the Caribbean against a vessel operated by “Designated Terrorist Organizations,” but the post did not name any specific group.
