Here...we have one of the richest men in America, certainly the richest in public life...who served his previous term for $1 a year...who spent hundreds of millions on his own defense, where he could have just taken the Perkins Coie deal and declined to run...now all of a sudden he's taking money, somehow. I personally witnessed some thing like this out of a ukrainian orphanage. Weirdest story I’d heard when i was in a position of believing they were trying to help the kids. Talked to one of the parties yesterday. Child is okay now and an adult.

Ukraine is an illustration of where unchecked government corruption, driven by a hyper-corrupt, deviant Elite Class, financed by outside money, takes a society.

It's fascinating, how Ukraine, joined with Russia at the time of the USSR implosion, wound up on such a different path. My guess would be the then-small but devout Orthodox Christian community - which held to morality and brought others, tired of secular chaos, to the churches.

Yes , I’ve been pondering this because my metal ownership is held in vaults in Zurich. ( Bullionvault and Goldmoney )
And while the Swiss always set themselves up as neutral and a place of safety for money and metals, they seem to have lost their way recently and joined the corrupt e.u. In attempting to take down Russia.
This is increasingly looking like a bad bet with e.u. / nato alliance doubling down at every loosing turn.

What are the risks of trusting the Swiss with my precious, going forwards ?
 
I can't speak with authority - I'm not a geopolitical expert, not even armchair.

BUT. We SEE what they did with the German, Klaus Schwab. The WELCOMED him - his father, a Nazi Party ranking member; and he, having shown affection for that toxic theology. Schwab was welcomed in, and as he set up his European Management Forum in Davos, he was left alone. Maybe even embraced.

And as they adopted a far-more grandiose title, WEF, the Swiss did nothing to express disapproval of the message - that of open Malthusianism, Club-of-Rome malevolence, insane talk of remaking the world to give WEF luminaries, godlike power over other nations' governments. Talk of replacing free trade with command/control economies. Mutterings of Transhumanism. Then from that Israeli sodomite who once shared Klaus's bed...we find out what that means. Humans are "hackable animals."

Even after their first hack-attempt failed miserably - COE-vidd and The Jab - they still bray on about that. Larry the Fink is now taking Klaus's place. ANOTHER alien to Switzerland. And the Swiss do NOTHING.

Because this is most-likely how the Swiss Elites, THINK. Money-changing, Financialism, is more important than growing food, manufacturing, or energy extraction. All other industries must take take a secondary role to the MOST IMPORTANT HUMAN ACTIVITY - shell-gaming nations' currencies, and turning humanity into tax-cattle to enrich the Technocrats.

It’s acceptably cheap although I prefer bullionvaults more open approach and the fee includes insurance, no doubt fiats to compensate for any loss.
I am in Blighty and noticed that while Americans happily stored their gold in London, most brits did not. I guess we all consider gov to be a significant threat to their citizens.
Yes I can travel to Zurich and take delivery but then I have to get it safely through various borders and hope no one at the vault has sold the info of my collection to bad people . Then there’s the problem of once the gold is removed from the approved bullion handlers, I would have to pay for assay to sell it as we are not talking about recognised coins but bars.
As things stand, I can offer any amount for sale at any time using the websites and as long there is a working internet, a buyer will show up. The money landing in my linked uk account in a very short time.
I also have the option to sell the Zurich holdings, buy more metal, to be held in the London vault and take delivery or organise a secure collection and delivery. This would incur two lots of transaction fees but would be less risk than travelling to Zurich and back to Blighty.

It’s double edged.
I tell someone where it’s stashed and potentially loose the stash or even put my life at risk or I die suddenly and no one knows where it’s stashed .
As things are, it would be quite difficult for someone to hold me hostage and force me to sell then transfer fiats to an account they demand as any big number transfer requires my bank to contact me and my son separately, to confirm the transaction is valid, e.g. if I am converting the metals to real estate….

Interesting posts. Several things I'd consider before moving something overseas:

- What happens to my access should politics between my home country and the storage country becomes messy?
- What about my access should my home country go to war with the storage country and / or it's allies?

Dealing with travel restrictions, sanctions, nationalizations, outright confiscation could be messy.

Yes this is what has me pondering the relative safety of vaults in Zurich…..

As things stand, selling via the internet is straightforward and the £ sterling arriving in a uk based, linked account is currently seamless. But as you say the risks change when the Swiss gov or the EU leaning hard on the Swiss, need those metals badly enough, they will steal them in the blink of an eye, as I am not exactly as influential as Russia …..
