ALSO, they require a homogenous population, with at least the same cultural values. If everyone in your county is brought up on hard work, you can get things done. The Mormons in Utah were such a group. The state logo is the beehive - all working together in a hostile land.

Collectivism in Canada's medical system ALMOST worked for a time. Does it work with the VA hospital system?

I'd rather just have a system that contracts private hospitals to PAY providers - letting me have some choice, instead of quacks of marginal competence. The kind who believe in The Jab and Face Diapers.
