Bestie Pilots Fly to get Lunch in a Different State! Strong Crosswinds and a Flight Lesson.

Nov 11, 2025 #PiperArcher #WomenInAviation #CrosswindLanding
Flying with friends makes every journey more fabulous! 💕 In this episode, my girlfriend and pilot @JetGirlStephanie trades in her jets for my Piper Archer, where I fly her from Las Vegas, NV to Lake Havasu, AZ for a girls’ flying adventure — and some delicious lunch right on the airfield.
With strong crosswinds in the forecast, we plan carefully, evaluate our go/no-go decisions, and stay flexible in case we need to head back to Vegas. As a CFI (flight instructor), Stephanie shares a few in-flight tips and insights to help me (and you!) handle tricky flight conditions safely and confidently.

Off-Airport Adventure in a Brand-New Husky! (Dry Lake Bed Landing)

Nov 19, 2025 #aviation #husky #backcountryflying
Today’s adventure is a wild one. I team up with my friend and fellow YouTuber, Pilot Annie, to take the brand-new Aviat Husky - affectionately named The Red Dragon - out for an off-airport showing through the Nevada desert.
We launch out of Henderson Executive Airport (KHND) and head straight toward a massive dry lake bed, the perfect playground for a Husky. These airplanes are built for backcountry operations, and this flight shows exactly why.
After touching down on the lake bed, we hop out, explore on foot, and capture some insane drone footage of the Red Dragon against the desert backdrop.
If you love bush flying, off-airport landings, or just want to hang out with two pilots having a blast, you’re going to love this one!

Turbulence, Terrain, and Meeting @Wairworthy | Flying to St. George Utah

Nov 26, 2025 #cessna182 #aviationvlog #lakeMead
Bumpy skies, stunning views, and one unforgettable meetup 👀In this episode, we depart Las Vegas in my 1957 Cessna 182 and head north over Lake Mead and the desert terrain en route to St. George, Utah. The turbulence over the hot rocks made for one of the bumpiest rides I’ve had in a while — but it was all worth it to catch up with the legendary ‪@wairworthy‬ for a behind-the-scenes tour of his incredible airplane.
Come along for the full flight experience: cockpit audio, multi-cam footage, honest flying moments, and one very cool aviation collab at the end.

Footage appears to show aircraft larger than football field soaring over Calif.

From a distance, it looks like a war plane imagined by Hayao Miyazaki, or the type of machine that could only exist in a science fiction novel.

But according to aviation enthusiasts who captured footage of it soaring in the California skies last week, it's an experimental aircraft designed by Stratolaunch, an aerospace company located in the Mojave Desert. Chances are, residents in surrounding towns will see more of it, too.

Described as the world's largest flying aircraft, Roc - which looks like two 747s fused together and has a wingspan larger than a football field - recently completed a series of test flights last year, where it reached an altitude of 35,000 feet. Named after a large bird of prey from Arabian folklore, the unique composite aircraft has six engines, a 385-foot wingspan, and a takeoff weight of 1.3 million pounds. According to Stratolaunch's website, the legendary bird was so large, it could carry elephants and transport sailors to safety. Similarly, it appears that the 21st-century iteration is designed to carry another Stratolaunch aircraft, the fully autonomous Talon-A2, which is capable of reaching hypersonic speeds when released into the air - that's five times the speed of sound.

This Wasn’t the Flight We Planned…
Dec 26, 2025 #diamondaircraft #thunderstorms
Today’s flight was anything but routine.
We depart Scottsdale, Arizona, bound for El Paso, Texas in the DA50RG - but right from the start, weather becomes the main character. After copying what might be the longest IFR clearance I’ve ever received, we taxi and launch into a day filled with thunderstorms, constant deviations, and real-time decision making. From climb-out to cruise, we spend the entire flight navigating weather, working closely with ATC, and threading our way around storms. Along the way, we’re rewarded with some unreal views - rainbows cutting through the rain, dramatic cloud layers, and the kind of scenery that reminds you why flying is so special. As we arrive into El Paso, Naomy flies her first-ever landing in the DA50RG, wrapping up a demanding IFR day on a high note. With Fort Worth still dealing with severe weather, we make the call to end the day early—another reminder that good flying is about patience and smart decisions, not just getting there.

Trapped by a Squall Line.. Until Now | DA50RG El Paso to Fort Worth

Jan 3, 2026 #diamondaircraft #pilotvlog
After being grounded in El Paso for two days by a stubborn squall line, the weather window finally opened, and wasted no time taking it. In this flight, I launch eastbound in the DA50RG, turning a weather hold into one unforgettable leg to Fort Worth, Texas.
With smooth air and a tailwind working in my favor, I saw ground speeds over 212 knots, setting a personal land speed record along the way. The payoff? Stunning views as I crossed over Guadalupe Mountains National Park, one of the most dramatic and underrated landscapes in the Southwest. From weather decision-making to high-speed cruise and jaw-dropping scenery, this flight was a reminder that patience on the ground is important for every pilot's aeronautical decision making.

Jan 20, 2026 #da42 #sunsetflight
Join me on a Diamond DA42 ferry flight from Fort Worth, Texas to Deer Valley Airport in Phoenix, Arizona. This cross-country trip took me west with a lunch stop in El Paso before continuing over the rugged Guadalupe Mountains - one of the most scenic stretches of the route.
As the day wound down, the desert lit up with incredible sunset colors, setting the stage for a smooth night arrival into the Phoenix area. From mountain terrain to golden-hour skies and a night landing to wrap it all up, this flight had a little bit of everything.
Thanks for flying along!
