What I want to know is, how many of the "highly principled" people who are against everything Trump tries to do, will be refusing any gov check they might happen to get, on those same high principles?

Musk departed due to his company being attacked by people burning and vandalizing his company because they were against what he was trying to.

Democrats were also fighting everything DOGE tried to do.

.....and remember the DOGE guy who got attacked and beaten because he was simply doing his job and trying to help the gov cut waste and fraud?

Dems used the courts to force it stop.

Had to give refunds to companies who paid those tariffs.

You posted about it yourself, and cheered that the money had to be given back.

Now you say that that never happened?

IMHO, anyone keeping the money isn't helping anything other than themselves at the expense of their own future selves.

Keeping it is just a symptom of the general public not giving a shit about what's actually good for the nation. Only seeing what can they get from it.

I was gonna post, things have really come to a camp-meeting Hell when Bernie makes moar sense than the Great Golden Hope.

But then, I thought...no, old Bernie, drooling and incoherent, hasn't the focus to compile this.

It's his STAFF. One of those DSA types, who are gonna impose Global "Socialism" upon the Unwashed - for their own good, don't you know.

Their own good - as determined by the new masters out of the DSA. Who only need "democracy" long enough to impose "responsible government" onto the "haters" - and then,. can conveniently discard the pro-democracy arguments like used Charmin.
 
ASSUMING these checks (EFT transfers) actually happen...

A few hundred-thousand high-minded persons refusing the money (if that were possible; ever try to reverse an EFT transaction involving an institution?...much less, government) won't matter a damn.

This obviously is just to keep the grift machine, the MIC money-printing party, going for a few quarters moar. Collapse is inevitable; this just maybe delays it a bit

Since government is so STOO-PIDD as to DO this, I would have NO trouble taking that $5k Trump Stimmy and buying a nice k-rand with it.

And burying it with the others.

President Donald Trump and his administration want you to believe that nearly 16,000 noncitizens may be illegally registered to vote in our state. There’s just one problem: They haven’t produced any evidence to support their claim. None.

The Department of Homeland Security originally alleged that as many as 15,903 noncitizens were registered to vote in Nevada. Yet when Nevada election officials began asking simple questions — like “what are these people’s names?”; “how were they identified?” and “what records support the allegation?” — the administration’s bombshell claim fizzled.

Federal officials eventually provided Nevada with 185 people DHS claimed its manual review had confirmed were noncitizens.

Is it just me, or are things unusually calm?

We are 5 weeks out from the midterms, and it’s ridiculously quiet. I figured we would all be at each other’s throats by this point.

The MSM don’t really have any narratives to go with at the moment. The public have largely soured on the Left’s message/agenda, and Americans as a whole have largely rejected the woke nonsense, to the point that even the Dems are retroactively admitting that “Woke 1” was a mistake, essentially conceding that they are batshit crazy and Trump/MAGA were right.

Even podcastistan, the doomers, and all the dumb supposed Right-wing influencers pushing Charlie Kirk nonsense, have all lost their credibility and steam.

People just aren’t buying the bullshit the same way they used to, and the psychological operations have lost a fair bit of their potency.

I like our position headed into the election, but we will see if there are any October surprises. I expect there will be.

The New York Attorney General’s official voting-resources page states, in black and white, that voters “are never required to present photo identification to cast an in-person ballot” and instructs New Yorkers: “If you see or hear of anyone improperly requesting voter identification, contact OAG.” Read it here.

Poll-worker guidance tracks the same line: do not ask for ID unless the voter file is already flagged. Signature matching is the substitute. No photo. No citizenship check at the table. Just a scribble.

That is why a poll worker would get angry at a woman holding out a government ID. The training says don’t look. The AG’s office says report the person who asks.

California is even more aggressive. In 2024, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 1174, which bars cities and counties from requiring identification at the polls.

California still lets applicants register online with no driver’s license and no Social Security number. The state’s own acceptable-ID list for the rare first-time voter who actually gets asked includes a gym card, an insurance card, or a credit card.

You can vote for governor with a Planet Fitness membership. You cannot cash a paycheck with one. The hypocrisy is not subtle.

New York City demands two photos, two original IDs, and a Social Security card from emergency snow shovelers last winter, the same city that tells election inspectors not to look at a voter’s license.

Socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani floated ID requirements for his government grocery stores so people wouldn’t resell discounted food. President Trump’s response was the obvious one: they will check your papers to buy milk, but not to choose the people who run the country.

 

Man accused of dressing as ICE agent at Miami Dade College Brazilian voting site​

A man was arrested Sunday after he dressed as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent while aggressively walking around a polling site for Brazil’s general election at Miami Dade College’s Kendall campus, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.

Danilo Silva, 46, was wearing an ICE hat, ICE jacket, sunglasses and a mask covering his face and “tactical-looking” boots as he walked between buildings where voting was taking place, according to his arrest report.
