There have been plenty posted in response to your "omg! The sky is falling because of tariffs!" posts.

Just look at cars for a good example. Japan, Europe, Canada, and many other nations tariff our cars at 25% or higher, and have done so for decades.

I've asked countless times why tariffs are ok for other nations but not ours. You've even responded with a c&p AI answer stating other nations do so to protect THEIR industries.
Apparently you don't seem to think it ok to protect our own industries.

All most seem to care about is that they get the cheapest price possible, even if it means at the cost of continuing to ship our jobs overseas.

Where do you stand? Is it ok to protect our stuff too? Or is that only for other nations?

You're perception of my tariff posts are amusing. I can't do anything about the tariffs except to watch what I buy. As for the sky is fall stuff it's not me talking. It's the actual author(s) of the actual material.

I'm for a tit for tat scenario where everything is equal as to trade tariffs but that'll probably never happen.

And the way T is going about things is not good for the US. He's playing with tariffs like they are a toy. He uses them to try to bully other countries into bowing to him. He should leave things to people with actual business / diplomatic experience and stop trying to insert himself in every aspect of the government and our public and private lives.

Yes, offshoring been happening for a long time. Trump is trying to do something about it.

It has more to do with our inflationary monetary system squeezing mfg'ers and the gov allowing it (offshoring) in order help them be able to stay in business.

Getting rid of the inflationary monetary system would've fixed it too, but the quick and easy "solution" is to let 'em use cheaper production off shore.
.....and that works, for awhile.

He's using them as a bargaining tool in trade negotiations.

For example, that's why he said he's GOING to raise tariffs by 50% on Canada at the first of the year.

Ie: he's hoping the threat of them will garner our nation a better spot at the negotiating table.

Tariffs are a tool.

Well that's congress's fault for Enacting the laws that allow a POTUS to do what he is doing.

They, or some of them, wanted cheap tevees, too.

So the Globalists got them some. And that it cost the entire electronic industry, in the end...tens of thousands of jobs, from design to assembly to warehousing to PROFIT$$$ (which is now split with the CCP)...turns out that's not such a great deal.

Now. We destroy the entire beef industry, and then our dollar goes smash. IF we had significant beef production, life would go on - as it has with dozens of boom-and-bust cycles. But with no domestic food and our conjured-up fiat no longer desired...what do we eat? Grubs? Shit? Our dogs?

And in any case, the price rises are NOT NATURAL. They're engineered by fake animal-disease scares (screwworm or hoof-and-mouth) or even deliberately infecting. AND punitive land-use regulations. AND...eager non-American and Vulture Capital buyers for defaulted land.

They call this "Manufactured Consent" for this latest Offshoring and Industry Destruction.

Those are not fake.

Only reason screw worms are back is because we eased up on fighting them, and they've made their way back.*

Hoof and mouth disease is real too.

The panic is fake.

And the reason they're on the rise is NOT mysterious forces, but GATES MONEY to MAKE IT MORE COMMUNICABLE.

He has a point though. If our own side is undermining his efforts, how is that helping America?

When we have so many screaming for an end to only our tariffs, that plays right into the other nations hands.

In spite of that, there's been some progress.
